Having Acnologia one-shot Serena speaks highly of his power, but it screams of how underutilized Serena was in the anime and manga. Give him the power that made him a possible threat to the other Dragon slayers (having 8 different types vs. the 7 other slayers), only to lose to the bigger threat before giving him a chance to spread his wings. Shame.

God Serena doesnt have plot armor to save him...imagine Acno doing the same thing (without talking much) and straight obliterate other DS.....

Hyberion's power resembles like Gravity Magic despite being called Vampire Magic. Could've been better if his magic constricted the enemy's blood flow since he looks like a vampire hence the gravity-pulling effect and made sense that God Serena was holding his neck in pain.

Wolfheim's power kinda resembles Elfman's take-over ability. Nothing special to be honest since Elfman already exists for that ability.

I'd expected Jura to hold his own better against God Serena because he was super strong when he was introduced.

Warrod himself said that his Tree Magic or something was not suited for combat but it was useful enough to momentarily immobilize God Serena.

Would have been cool to see a fight animated between God Serena & Acnologia, where none of the dragon slayer magic works against Acnologia

I still can’t get over how much they butchered this arc. In the manga, it’s extremely obvious Acnologia just tore a chunk out of God Serena and he dies in a pool of his blood, compared to here where it doesn’t even compare to the first season where everything was great.

Don't think it was that God Serena was nerfed but that Acnologia was that much stronger.

Acnologia: *an apocalyptic maniac who kills everyone he sees.
Also Acnologia: *saves 4 Saint Mages by accident and leaves while trying to annihilate nearly the entire Fairy Tail guild, including non-dragonslayers during Tenryu Arc.
