Sonic defeating sonic wasn't even in canon path because in last story eggman defeated tails and he was in the central control room and and when shadow was looking at earth through the window, it looks like ge was there for a long time. Ok, shadow defeated sonic and came inside and after a while sonic woke up and came inside with knuckles. So that poves dark ending is the canon ending
