I like how he took the time to point out that both the dupes and nutrient bars are made from organic ooze. Cute little cannibals.
ОтветитьAs someone who was suggested this game a few years ago with no instruction or warning, got frustrated at my duplicants peeing everywhere because I couldn't figure out plumbing, and only recently decided to give it another shot, I want to thank you from the bottom of my tired, cynical heart.
This is the first tutorial that didn't say, 'let me show you how to do this' and then just jumped straight to the finished product with none of the process or reasoning shown.
Thank you for slowing down for those of us who need it and showing your work so we know how you got there.
Deeply appreciative of this project.
For the third duplicant I always choose one with operating + supplying going for mechatronic early. It's not as helpful as an constructor or a farmer but it's the only chance to search for those interests comfortably because the pinting pod is ramdon (unless you use mods) and takes quite a while to leveling up all and sometimes you gonna need it and now you have to wait a lot

ОтветитьThanks for this! Just picked it up today during the autumn sale. Won't have time to play for a bit so I'll learn and watch in the meantime ha
ОтветитьWOW, just perfect. The word ULTIMATE in your title is true. Congrats! Great material, and I know it`s not easy. Superb job.
Ответитьsummarry of this 30 min video: Read texts.
ОтветитьYes the American scientific community uses C and K, when talking about water and extreme temp respectively.
Because in America we use all 3 the way they are supposed to be used. C for water, K for extreme temperature, and F for body and weather. Instead of demanding everyone just use C for everything even though C is only relevant to water.
We also use both imperial (usually for things like cooking and sewing) and metric (usually for things like engineering)
I have been playing this game for quite some time. My gameplay style is to just jump into a game unless it has a physical manual, so this taught me quite a bit, and I will rewatch it later on.
ОтветитьThumbs down! Uses obnoxious amount of mods for a beginner guide. If doing something for brand new users, it should not be using any mods at all. Much less a ton of them like this one uses for no reason other than to confuse viewers.
ОтветитьOkay, you got me. I had ONI in my library for years, been in and out of learning this gem but most videos/guides out there seem to be overwhelming to a totally new guy to these kinda games (I'm a fighting game player by heart). I like how elaborate but not too rambly you explain things. I thought that's very important in introducing new complicated stuff to a total outsider. Subbed and thanks! :)
ОтветитьI've played a few hours of Oxygen Not Included here and there and just couldn't figure anything out. I haven't even gotten to the surface, let alone build a rocket or even get the resources to make a rocket. I am hoping this series will help me get past everything that has gotten me stuck!
ОтветитьYou are a good man 👍 thaz for this
ОтветитьOk this is pure gold.
I am going to binge watch this.
Thank you.
You are great dude
ОтветитьI don't know how to read Celsius, short of 0 is the freezing point lol, but I stuck with it in ONI because (1) I didn't realize you could switch lol (2) I got used to it, and while I still don't know what exactly the temp is, I'm learning the ranges that are freezing, comfortable, and heatwave. It works well enough for the game, and honestly, I think its a decent way to actually learn how this system works.
ОтветитьSurprised you started with Spaced out, as beginners probably won't have the DLC.
ОтветитьI got the game months ago and while i didnt let my colonies die off they are going to if i continue as i have no idea what i am doing
ОтветитьI love your style. Love it. I'm legally blind and weirdly-brained so these games are blisteringly difficult for me to wrap my weird brain around. Your style works perfectly for me. Please tell me you've done intro vids like this to Dorf Fort and Factorio (I've been struggling with them too.)
ОтветитьAnd I thought don’t starve was hard 😂
ОтветитьThis seems like a good guide! :)
ОтветитьMy face: 😮 control 1, shift 1. Dam thats helpful.
ОтветитьI bought the game because of you. I have installed it - but never played it. Maybe it's time
btw. glad your channel seems to do better?! you had some issues when I started watching your content if I remember correctly.
I love the dry wit delivery style. Informative and entertaining at the same time. I plan on watching the entire series.
ОтветитьYou had me at "I use Celsius because most of the world uses it, as well as the American scientific community"... 😀
ОтветитьThis voice is AI generated right?
ОтветитьNice woke colony
ОтветитьI have been reading the few logs I have received. I had also noticed the "I" and since I know it can't be the dupes and I had come to the conclusion that "I" is/am an AI. It was an interesting premise to play the game as an AI and not an organic.
It has been years since I played ONI so I am very behind on what is new
This video was really helpful! Cheers from Mexico . Thank you
ОтветитьONI - I am back. THIS TIME I WILL PREVAIL.
ОтветитьFive minutes in and already learned something. Did not know about setting viewpoints, makes managing the different areas so much easier. Thank you.
ОтветитьI comment to help statistics
ОтветитьI’m an idiot lol I stopped playing classic because I thought I had too to be able to play the DLC lol thank you for teaching me I can go back to classic and have DLC stuff 😂
Ответитьenjoying your content. joined discord.
ОтветитьThank you for this, I like the part where you said: "you are going to fail"... lol, that's why I'm here my friend.
ОтветитьWhat an amazing guide man , thanks
I will watch all of this , you explain things very well, as someone that spent 20 cycles making a water reservoir i over do it probably but fun im this games is to do whatever you want , at least i enjoy play games that way 😁
perfect i wanted someone to explain choosing a new game. been 2 years since i played this
ОтветитьSadly the seed isn't the same since the latest update, can you post a save?
ОтветитьI learned that you can make glass with some superhotness sand
ОтветитьWonderful tutorial.. I am looking forward to watch.. thanks
Ответитьcomputer voice sucks
ОтветитьThis is incredibly helpful, so well prepared and presented, thanks so much! 🤩
Ответитьi have played about 5 colonies and all of them failed into what i thought were late stages into the game. i completely ran out of power in most of them, i think one was not managing gas right, and one was not managing heat. anyway, they all failed and i stopped playing cuz i thought the game was unbeatable and once you used up a particular resource, like sand, it was gone forever and youd never find anymore. but i saw a crafting path for it when he was going over the encyclopedia database.
ОтветитьIs there a save share? :] i like playing along side the play throughs. Lol 😅
ОтветитьThe Coordinates dont work for me?
Ответитьmy head hurts
ОтветитьSuch an awesome series, thank you for the effort and care into all the specifics and details!
ОтветитьI use the Celcius temperatures... because that's what the game's been defaulted to since I started playing, and now all the temperature values look weird to me when I switch to Fahrenheit. >.>
Ответить
