Subscribed. Thanks for the video and the history
ОтветитьAll the potato monkeys live there
ОтветитьHoly shit! Can't believe you actually mentioned the job in Hudson, NH. I can literally see the bank from my window right now. Saw that shit happen from this same windows decades ago.
ОтветитьYou can't have the present without the past.
ОтветитьGreat video. first time your channel popped up on my tl. Subscribed. I've lived in Boston my whole life, I am what my dad always said (in a loving way) a typical Boston mutt, Irish & Italian. Townie McLaughlins on one side, North End Mafia on the other. Thankfully that's now a few generations removed. Looking forward to watching more of your content.
ОтветитьLoved the history!
Ответить“Ahhmahd c’yahr” was authentic 👌
ОтветитьHuh? Try 1980s, That's when it started to change.
ОтветитьPeople need to know history, otherwise they’re doomed to repeat it. We see the idiocy every single day! Great segment and channel
ОтветитьThat was awesome!! I just moved to New Hampshire can’t want to see Fenway… a lot different than growing up in Tulsa and Georgia… thank y’all
ОтветитьGreat job. Slow it down next time. Alot of info no need to rush brotha
ОтветитьAs an Australian, the Boston accent is the easiest to understand of all the American accents. Reminds me of home
ОтветитьJust found ur channel & I watched a few videos, & I enjoy ur content. If I can say something tho, do urself a favor & get a better mic so ur voice doesn’t sound
So muffled & slow down ur speaking a lil bit. Speaking so fast mixed with ur Boston accent, it’s a little hard to keep up with what ur saying.
Good content tho & I’ll stick around.
Great video man!
ОтветитьOne of my favorite movies
ОтветитьWhen the Boston marathon bombing happened and the cops started swarming into Charlestown I distinctly remember a reporter saying “Oh man if this guy really went to go hide out in Charlestown he better hope the cops find him first” That pretty much says it all
ОтветитьGotta have a bit of history👍
ОтветитьI was born there in 1967. The history is very real. Awesome job. keep up the good work!✌️
ОтветитьGloustah! Awhlways from Gloustah!
Kuul viddy yo Bro. Plesse keep doing what you do
I have a buddy from the military who is a Southie and Irish to the core, Charles Town and the southies have always fascinated me. Went there to visit him after we were discharged, I was treated politely but kept at a distance, I was definitely an outsider.
ОтветитьThank you for this very informative and eye opening video. I love history and rather enjoy long videos movies documentaries etc. With TikTok videos maxing out at three minutes, it saddens me that videos hardly go over the 30 minute mark. But I guess I’m part of an older breed? Gen X. Great work. Thanks again.
ОтветитьThat city ro who bunched on a trucks and banks.
I used to do that. Rob alma drugs and banks in hamilton ontario I used to
The history makes the video. Amazing work!
ОтветитьI’m Irish living Dublin Ireland I grow up like these guys i always feel connection to Boston one day going to visit ☘️ 🇮🇪🇺🇸
ОтветитьGreat history same gentrification happened in my area in LES NYC . Story is so similar to what happened to me and my friends. I’m happy n healthy good job. Earned education. I can relate to all this. Specially the 80,$ and 90,$ .. it was rough,I’m no gangster but I had to sit down a few times. Just got lucky I made some good decisions at the end.
ОтветитьI lived in the infamous Bunker Hill projects for a couple of years. Not a great place to be.
Ответитьreally good video. my dad is from southie. got into big problems in the late 60's. Did 5 years in Walpole. he never gave me details, but almost certainly ran with Hill. couldn't really work independently then. haha. great job on the video, guy.
ОтветитьThere were so many of the old school guys who were not known because they stayed in the background but still were in the dirt. Only the locals knew of them i remember meeting Nardone and Butchy when i was younger. They used come by my dad's place on Medford Street always respectful and cool. My family has lived there forever and some still do i remember my grandparents lived on first floor and my dad ended up living on second floor. My uncle built the basketball court the cage on Corey Street for my cousin everyone called my Uncle K9 . After my dad passed i couldn't stay away ended up staying with my cousin on Corey street. Growing up you could walk around anytime of the night and feel safe if you were a local especially in the pjs. We used to do so much shit and nobody ever called the cops or told on us . Got my first hotbox at 14 and then we were off and running lol. Nowadays it's all yuppies and people trying to change every little thing.
ОтветитьCrazy dust is still around usually a summer thing
ОтветитьLike Breezy point in Queens
ОтветитьAwesome video
Great job
Your videos are very informative my dude. My uncle was a longshoreman there for decades. My cousin has been clamming there since the 90s. Great video and great channel content! ☘️
ОтветитьLove the history! Great stuff! Had to come back for a second listen!
ОтветитьIts funny watching people correct people on pronunciation when they pronounce the shit wrong🤣 thats like if Memphis people started laughing at everybody else say “music” instead of “merrsic”
ОтветитьLoved this video, really enjoyed the history too. I'm watching from Belfast in Ireland.
ОтветитьYou're doing a Fantastic job. It's like walking through the Matrix when I have the chance to visit.
ОтветитьGood work, lad. Thanks for putting it out there, appreciate it buddy.
ОтветитьCharlestown was never dangerous. It was just filled w organized crime. If you didn’t belong they’d let you know. If you minded your business it was no issue. There are worst areas of Boston let alone Massachusetts.
ОтветитьFrank "The Animal" Barboza
ОтветитьMy man great mini documentary!!! Keep doing your thing!!!
ОтветитьHickey is lying rat and ran outta Charlestown when he was like 12 great video yet from a true townie
Ответить3 minutes into the video and your on the verge of repeating yourself for a 3rd time?
ОтветитьIts a great movie!!!!
ОтветитьFree kicka
ОтветитьI was in prison with butchie doe
ОтветитьI enjoy the history. My dad was an old school safe cracker. Back in the 60 and 70's. Finally got caught in Texas. He did a few years in prison. Went straight after he got out. With the money he had robbed,he stored it somewhere. He won't say. But anyway he started a roofing company with it and went legit. Died 2 years ago. The stories he would tell were crazy to hear. I sure miss him.
ОтветитьCharlestown was part of Somerville before it was this Charlestown
ОтветитьI really want to finish this video. Is it me or the narrator sounds very annoying?!?
ОтветитьWhen it comes to most armed robbers Salford in Manchester would give Charlestown a run for its money for sure
