I saw him perform this live at the Bridge School Benefit in 2013 with Les Claypool on bass. The show was nothing short of amazing.

Don Van Vliet, Screamin' Jay, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, James Brown, Burroughs, and Cookie Monster...or anyone he meets, Tom can conjure up, channel, paint from memory an audible portrait that tells the story. He is spiritually connected to the center of a creative universe. Not the big shitty universe that we have to live in, Tom's universe is the cool one way out on the fringe.
