What about the noise?
Ответитьi want one :O
ОтветитьCan I ask why you’re a fan of Drupal it’s fallen right off in favour over the last decade.
ОтветитьI don't have a rack at all... yet.
ОтветитьNice rack
Ответить2.5 gbe switch
Two to three mini pc on one shelf
HDD to each mini pc on next shelf
Repeat until rack full or switch only has an uplink left
Wait...what are those blades? That's cool! I have a lot of small form factor stuff. I could use this on my desk.
ОтветитьI have a tiny rack, too! My favorite accessory for it is those silicone inserts that increase the capacity.
ОтветитьI want to move my main rig into that lol
ОтветитьNice rack
ОтветитьHey Jeff, I'm not sure if you'll read this, but I'm a bit curious. Im working on a software project designed to be scaled via docker containers and have no idea where to start with clustering / stress and load testing. Is something like this worth the invest for such a thing, or are there hosted alternatives you'd recommend? Thanks.
ОтветитьI need to get one of those for a Cisco Catalyst 6.509 wirh redindant soup or visor engines.
Ответить9" would be much better than 10", as you could mount two of them next to each other in a 19" rack.
ОтветитьWhy is nobody talking about the fact that that looks like a Mac Pro?
ОтветитьThe last time I said look at that tiny rack, I got slapped! 🥺
ОтветитьWindows
Ответитьwhat about V-slots it is possible to make any dimensions and even re use parts from old 3d printer😊😉
ОтветитьDo a video on mini quantum pc
ОтветитьI need a way to mount 3.5inch HDDs in this
ОтветитьI'm not deep enough into computers to use racks but I am deep enough into synths... I'd probably stuff 6U with most of Tiptop's 909 clone modules and a few panning mixers, use the leftover 2U space for a Steppy and a handful of mults and attenuators, and jerry-rig all the I/O on the back, call it a drumsynth.
ОтветитьOmg! Someone remember the Drupal!)
ОтветитьIt's a grower not a shower, eh? 😂😂💀
ОтветитьPorn. Heheheheh, you said "rack"
ОтветитьThese comments are absolute gold lmao
ОтветитьI’d run three machines Ubuntu, Windows, and macOS in the same case with an HDMI switch.
ОтветитьI love this rack size. I just wish Ubiquiti made this size modules
Ответитьits not the rack size that matters, but how you use it
ОтветитьI love the fact that we are living in an age that can be termed “post-mini-pc”, confirming Moore’s law.
Personal computers have became so tiny that anyone can have multiple of them inside a 80’s desktop-casing.
I personally think a startup that design these small server machines based on the user requirements and a customisable os that helps to run these machines will be the next best thing. 🎉
Small racks, medium racks, big racks. Doesnt matter i like them all.
ОтветитьPut a bunch of SBC's and try to merge them into a single virtual server. Then, I'd try running DeepSeek on that.
ОтветитьCan you easily stack 2 of them?
Ответитьwill it fit 40 orange pi 5's ? got some mining to do :)
ОтветитьI would never buy anything from Bestbuy
ОтветитьI'm in contact with them. Probably will make something deeper for Compute Blades :)
ОтветитьI hate you. Did networking base stuff for fun now and again. Started watching your videos again more recently because I kind of got addicted to server stuff recently and now I see this and want one really bad lol. Started doing home assistant on rasp pi 5 with nvme and ended up building a vpn and nas from the interest I have had (a whole lotta debugging tho).
ОтветитьHmmmm….
ОтветитьLibre Software/GPL - NOT Open-Source, are you clear on that mate?
ОтветитьIts not small, it's average.
Ответитьit's not always about the rack size it's about the personality
ОтветитьI want to make multiple computers work together on a single task and system is that a cluster? What software do i need and do you have any suggestions to help me teach myself?
ОтветитьThis with multiple Maxxed out Framework Desktop boards, and there it is: a „cheap“ AI Cluster!
ОтветитьI like 10-in racks too man
ОтветитьI've got many small switches and servers. This is great!
ОтветитьWhat kind of app do you deploy?
Ответитьnothing.... its junk
Ответитьmini H100 of course
ОтветитьWay higher on the Wife Approval Factor. I count this as a win. I would hope there is a protectli like appliance to run OpnSense on, house the modem sideways, an eight port L3 switch, my Pi, my micro optiplex running Proxmox.
ОтветитьI want to do something actually quite similar to this. Using 4-6 Rpi 5's with a dual NVME hat as a storage cluster (8TB total, 4Tb for redundancy) and a small Celeron PC to run Plex and small server applications.
Planned on also using a POE switch, and possibly using a wireless HDMI transmitter and HDMI switch to transmit the screen of my choice to my projector. Making it a single entity for all my media, plus playback for the projector, and the flexibility of taking any of my computers, the pi's or the Celeron box and displaying them on my projector. All while being energy efficient 😁
I need this shit idk what I’d run but I need it
Ответитьwhat do i even do with it aside from storage?
Ответить
