I never had a fear of heights. Just a strong fear of the ground.
ОтветитьI'm 31. Going to FLW for AIT. Thinking of doing Airborne, should I still go at my age? 😂
ОтветитьWas at Airborne school Dec 94. Was stationed at Benning right after. Spent lots of time walking past ground week to our motor pool. I would yell my number then Airborne!!! Spent lots of time inside the aircraft on tower week drinking beers. Airborne school was my favorite!!
ОтветитьIn 2001 on my 4th jump I had a collision under the plane with someone, his chute was wrapped around me and I knew I was falling faster than previous jumps. Thought I was tangled in my chute…Upon pulling my reserve, I noticed a jumper dangling below me….my reserve chute stole the air from main and collapsed it, so now two of us rode my reserve to the ground at an extremely fast pace.
He smacked the ground and I landed on him breaking his leg in several spots, splitting my chin wide open from his risers smacking me.
I laid there crying for a while lol, second guessing my choices in life. The black hat ran up to me and after assisting the guy with his leg he looked at me and said “damn airborne! you need stitches badly but if you go to hospital you won’t jump your 5th jump and will recycled.”
“Put a bandage on it and let’s get you graduated.” He absolutely motivated me to make that final jump. Back then your 4th and 5th jump were back to back around 4pm and then a night jump around 6pm or 7pm. So I had to immediately turn my chute in and jump again after that malfunction….after that went to hospital but they couldn’t stitch it because I waited to long. I ended up going to back to Bragg after , quickly made jump master after 3 years, and before I knew it I had 138 jumps over my 14 year career. I was never scared of jumping again until the day my son was born….that was my last jump. I was terrified and knew I couldn’t do it anymore.
~All the way
Don’t do it they will make you pay $3,000. For your equipment.
ОтветитьVet here and the only way I would ever fight for this country again is if was in my backyard and it would be for my family and me. This country has abandoned me and the American people.

ОтветитьThe extra pay isn’t worth it at all and the more bs you have to endure because you’re airborne isn’t worth it.
Don’t even get me started how every grunt in Ft Bragg knows airborne operations are irrelevant these days
Probably a dude who cut off his dick leading this organization
ОтветитьMy dad was a paratrooper and I’m just here to see what he had to endure because I was curious

ОтветитьWhat’s the difference between Air Force and airborne
ОтветитьI do have a question though has the Army Airborne School integrated the new ACFT to their PT test to replace the Push ups, sit ups, and pull ups of the APFT?
Ответить5 jump chumps, lets be real. Battalion loves to only let E-5 and above jump. Have fun losing that jump pay.

ОтветитьWhen will you break the shackles of japan against china, germany against russians? Urgently give these countries the right to establish and develop armies as they wish. The army of the European Union should be established and Turkey should join this union with the strongest regional army.
ОтветитьOhhhhh and BTW, do you folks know who is training russian troops, that you folks like to call, nazis, terrorists and etc.? Steven Seagal. So now i thought with meself, if the Russians are Using Steven Seagal to train their troops, You folks could call Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to train US troops, right?
ОтветитьBTW the comment was just for Spartan Warrior, i dunno if he's a good person, or folks in the same conditions that he faces, like speaking portuguese for example, or in the surviving condition it seens, that i guess is not so easy, actually not even close to the meaning of easier.
But the Balance for you folks, is a different one.
