The Worst Geometry Dash Level

Hey - just an important reminder that you should NOT go after the creator, harass them, spam their levels with hate, etc. This should be common sense.

Generation Retro is a VERY creative level with lots of fun theming, but the creator just didn't do a very good job at building it in the editor. It's a random custom level that a kid dreamt up and worked hard on, and usually I would never hate on someone for doing that.

HOWEVER - this level is in a Gauntlet, which means millions of players are forced to play it. This basically means that the level is "official", and for that reason I wanted to dive deep into it and pinpoint why it's so hated - so new creators don't make the same mistakes. It's a charming level on its own, but an absolute trainwreck inside a Gauntlet.

I don't hate the creator and I don't hate the idea of the level. I hate the fact that RobTop scooped up a random 13 year old's level for a Gauntlet that will be played by a massive audience. Think of this video as "Why this level shouldn't be in a Gauntlet", and NOT "Why this level shouldn't exist".

As someone who plays GD World in which you can get shards from chests, I see this as an absolute win.

I played generation retro on my phone and had a mental breakdown
So when I got gd on my computer I literally hacked the level just to not experience it again for the 100th time

I think the 3D blocks we're used because RobTop was too stupid to add rotation for squares in the editor, so we have to use.. the uglys.

the final coin is you getting your coin back that you inserted at the start, thats why its a different sprite

You didn't mentioned that the letters in the title part aren't spaced equally

Theory: the aliens have the lines sliced through them because the 3DL deco the creator was using could be rotateable while pixel blocks couldnt. Think same?

i think the eyeball thing was just a old coin that he decided to trash, but was too lazy to remove it so he just moves it to the top so “no one” can see.
