IMO, a great illustration of vanilla PBI being a very poor tool for fin reporting.
For instance:
1) Grand Total at the bottom, what does it mean? Net Income? Net CashFlow? Can you customize it? No. Can you make multiple summary rows stick? No.
2) What if one of my categories is 5 levels deep while others have 1 level? For every "shallow" category you will duplicate subtotals multiple times.
3) What if I want non-financial measures added, like units sold? No easy way.
4) Can you add a simple ratio, like Net Income margin %? No easy way. Point a cell that goes into calculation in a formula bar like you used to in Excel? Forget it.
5) What if I want flexible columns? 4 Quarters, YTD, Budget, Forecast? No easy way.
6) Can I have my columns to have dynamic names? Like say November'22 based on slicer selection? Forget it.
7) Sparklines? Conditional formatting apply to some rows and not the others? Make a single column bold? Forget it.
8) What if rows need different aggregation? Months in the columns, Revenue needs to summed up, Margin % needs to be averaged. Forget it.

Bottom line: making a barely usable fin report takes gigantic efforts. Changing existing report - forget it.
