her voice is so smooth, i could spend all day hearing it! And there's some interesting points about differences between USA 🇺🇸 and Denmark 🇩🇰
ОтветитьNumber one reason should be you dont have to deal with black people.
ОтветитьPlease dont think that moving to Denmark will solve your problems or make you more happy No matter what. There are certainly a lot of unhappy people here.
Guess i just dont want a lot of American to move here because they think it will be easier to get friends or get a job or whatever.
If you have those kinds of problems i dont think it’s gonna be much easier in Copehagen than in Dallas.
Heej, paying a “security deposit” of that amount is illegal in the EU 😮
ОтветитьWoah. That's an EXPENSIVE rental flat. But then you said "luxury" and 2 bed room... I live very near Stockholm City and pay $700 for 75 m2. And yeah, the lease is FOREVER. Unless I stop paying the rent for 6 months or something it's almost impossible to get evicted. That makes me feel very safe.
ОтветитьAs a Dane, born and raised in CPH, I think she's very well integrated and I agree with all of her observations!
ОтветитьVisited Copenhagen last summer and I definitely loved it
ОтветитьLive your life with less stress. True words
ОтветитьImagine that it's apparently controversial to say that you are worried about gun violence in the US.
ОтветитьFree health service should be a human right in any country.
ОтветитьPTO is a big factor too. I believe some Americans don't have it, while most Danish do.
ОтветитьIn Denmark you can hang out with people with completely different political views, without it causing an issue. Must be the benefits of having more than two parties and having a better sense of respecting each others' views.
ОтветитьSo basically she bagged a rich guy on her backpacking vacation and stayed there. None of that is able to be afforded by a teachers salary. The $3400 bed and Herman Miller office chair set that tone. No explanation of the husbands career.
ОтветитьAnd does her husband have a face?
ОтветитьMoving from a 3rd world country to a first world country døh ofc you are happier
ОтветитьJust remember when comparing rents, there’re several factors to consider; The income tax is very high, if not the highest in the world, which actually makes the rent even more expensive, but on the other hand; You have free full medical care, even if you’re unemployed. If you’re willing to live in the (beautiful) countryside, the rents are a fraction of those in Copenhagen. You can buy a rather nice house for around $100k depending on the area. Houses are not like in the US with wood framing and OSB boards with stucco, no they are solid brick houses build to withstand the harsh climate!
ОтветитьAll the Americans in the comments mad about life being better in other country’s lmao. Americans hate the thought of not being number 1 in everything. I don’t know why someone finding happiness in another county is a personal threat to some Americans. Like chill guys, just be happy for her.
ОтветитьIt’s crazy how ppl are more happy living anywhere else than in the USA.
ОтветитьIt kinda sucks how much power Americans have with their passports.
ОтветитьIf she got out of Copenhagen her rent would be cut in half, and public transport actually makes it possible to live outside Copenhagen but still work or study there.
The further west in Denmark you go, the cheaper rent and food become.
And remember, you can go cross country by train in roughly 3 hrs.
Well, I’m English and I’ve been here for over thirty years. She’s not wrong !
ОтветитьThe US is not for everyone just like European countries aren’t for everyone. The Dallas metro area has a bigger population than Denmark by nearly 2 million people and a bigger economy. The US is not perfect but thousands of people from around the world come here for a better life and work. US has its issues but Europe has its issues also and just like Americans move to Europe it’s just as many Europeans moving to America. To each their own.
ОтветитьWe pay 2,500 for a 2 bed 1 bath 1,000sq ft to live 4 miles from Boston yet the transit to the city is unreliable and the routes are limited. A lot of transferring on the subway. I think Copenhagen will be our first international family vacation when our daughter gets older. Thanks for sharing your story.
ОтветитьCrazy, they considered moving to Texas. Imagine, living in Copenhagen, and then moving to a a place like Texas. It’s worse than what most of you think
ОтветитьSuch a lovely video! ♥️ I love Denmark, can’t wait to go back! 🇩🇰
ОтветитьGun violence lol and Welfare for medical. 31K kids from guns very low for population of 350M LOL pay those high taxes while you are at it. Stay basically average your whole life and increase rent with security D never coming back. Let that be USA and Americans will be complaining.
ОтветитьShe keeps saying in the US, lol I've only lived in major cities and she's definitely getting a bargain in comparison. Compared to Boston, this is heaven.
ОтветитьI went to Copenhagen in 2016. Beautiful place. A big culture shock for me. Not sure I could live there though. Very expensive.
ОтветитьLooking at all the comments comparing the US and Denmark without bringing up the fact that Denmark is a small, homogneous, white country is wild
Nobody knows how to complain quite like us Americans haha
Im a German in America. I make double here. If you want to be taken care of and coddled, go to Europe. You want to be in 100% control and make tons of money, America
ОтветитьLiving in Denmark as well, it is not all roses and butterflies. Investigate well before making the decision of moving here, I also created this extremely wonderful idea, based on videos like this one. They only amplify the positive ; leaving out the day to day struggles and, extremely shocking parts of living here. Her situation sounds very lucky, as she works in an international school. Yes, people can talk to you in english in the streets or at a supermarket however, if you don’t speak the language in a certain amount of time ( extremely hard language to learn btw), you wouldn’t even be able to hold a cleaning job, as they are very strict in the job posts even for cleaning jobs that you need to write , speak and understand Danish . Investigate well on how all these “free” things really work, you might be unpleasantly surprised about this “free” health system. You have to convince them that something is wrong with you, over the phone even to come to an emergency room and most of the time what they consider an emergency is basically if you are at the brim of death-this is just an example. I could go on and on. On the not so nice things , that some people wouldn’t be willing to sacrifice. Safe it is, that is truly the one truth in all of these type of videos. Just wanted to leave a more realistic comment; of course some will come at me but, I rather that than someone going through what I’ve gone through living here. Just saying informed yourself at a deeper level.
ОтветитьSo you wanted to get away from diversity and live in a really white country because it's safer? Got it.
Ответить1. No black people
2. No black people
3. No black people
Grew up in Michigan loved it, but I won’t leave Canada as long as the gun violence or health insurance or maternity leave remains the same. Until you leave you have no idea what a relief it is not having to worry about those things. I spent a year home with each of my babies while my American cousins were sending 1 month old babies to daycare. I spent my high school years hoping my school wouldn’t be next, I won’t do that to my kids. America has so much potential and opportunities and I’m grateful for my time there but I’ve found a better place.
ОтветитьGun violence? Health Care? Was she paid to put this propaganda together???
ОтветитьLook at all that diversity 😍 such a cohesive, safe nation!
ОтветитьWhy didnt your husband wanna be in the video?
ОтветитьRent tied to inflation. What a concept. We have it all screwed up in the US
ОтветитьSHES MY DAUGHTERS TEACHER
Ответить30 years old. No kids, no family, no future.
ОтветитьI have been to Denmark and loved the country. The people were friendly and often spoke English so easy to communicate.
Public transport and health care are really important to making life easier for its citizens.
Glad you have found such a lovely place to live 🎉
Good and informative video.
The tv in that beautiful window nook is painful lol
ОтветитьWhy should gun violence be controversial? The US is not a safe country. Texas definitely has a love for their guns.
Ответить"I trusted my husbands judgement" lol yes this doesn't happen a lot here in the US.
ОтветитьYour home is too white. It's cold.
Eternally live second amendment.
The only thing that would make denmark more elite is if they shed some weight to BMI < 25.
ОтветитьLovely appartment but very expensive however ok if you earn enough to pay for it.The lifestyle seems good and an upgrade from Texas.
ОтветитьDenmark is great bc it only allows very few ethnic groups outside of being white to enter the country due cultural differences. I think it really shows how segregation is a good thing. Birds of a feather stick together.
ОтветитьThe fact she doesn't have to worry about gun violence in Denmark compared to where she's from (TEXAS) is a BIG difference! It's expensive in Copenhagen but I think it's well worth it
Ответить
