Do you know how that would work with network replication ie. playing online? Does everyone have to download the same mod where the cube is red before launching the game to see that the cube is red or does Unreal handle that in real time while joining the match? For example if you made mods for clothes then you would want to still be able to play online and people see the clothes you made without them downloading them before the game and instead kind of stream them while loading the match you are joining. BTW I would love to chat via discord about that topic if you are interested.

You don't even need to respect chunk IDs or pak file names with pak patching, as long as your patches end in _P.pak they are applied on top of the base game.

I know this because my base game had "Use Chunks" disabled, but my modkit project had it enabled and I assigned my modded content to chunk 1,packaged the modkit, took pakchunk1-Linux.pak from it, renamed it to pakchunk1-Linux_P.pak and moved it to my packaged base game next to MyProject-Linux.pak and it worked.
