Not to mention, but out of every character in fiction, who do you think would be the best at chess? Personally, I'd choose Trazyn the Infinite from Warhammer 40k since he'd probably enjoy the game and it would be easy to become friends with him (due to his sense of humor and love of culture. In the Infinite and the Divine novel he even says that he misses the sound of music, so he'd vibe to "All star" while playing the most obscure gambit imaginable), so it'd be possible to play multiple games against him in comparison to other characters who'd just complain and leave halfway through the game.
