I'm not sure how the monitors would affect the performance of the PC in games (apart from having a lower resolution in the 1080p mode), and why that'd be relevant. I'd be more interested in ghosting, response time, etc.

Hey Pete, your videos are great, but I'm wondering what you recommend for legal work. I don't do any gaming, but have lots of apps open and review lots of text, compare docs, etc. Also, at 60 my eyes need as little strain as possible. I'm currently usng a 27" and 17" laptop but want to switch to a desktop with a single monitor for work. The Dell 40" seems perfect but its a bit out of my budget. Any recommendations? Thank you.

99.9% of people aren't going to be getting the benefit of 240hz or 480hz... or even 144hz for that matter when playing at 4K. The 42" LG C4 still beats all the new oled monitors by a long shot. Not even close.

The Samsung doesn't have burn in warranty. That immediately disqualifies it for me.

I'm wondering how does it look like to play FPS games like CS2 with 1080p settings on those 4K monitors?

My Best Buy had these 2 next to each other I was actually going to get the asus 32dm glossy but I got the Samsung 949 and I don’t think Samsung is using a matte coating it’s something else

Just got my G8, these coatings are insane, while the QD panel itself is not super black, if you just look at the borders which are under the same coating, they look like those super black nano materials, it's just super ultra black, and indication of very low surface reflections.
People need to understand that matte screens that are simply roughed up surfaces, have NOTHING in common with the actual high tech coating on the G8.

Thanks for your video, nicely done. I picked up the Samsung a few months ago and really like it. When I looked at all of the monitors available at the time they are all pretty comparable. The LED lighting is meaningless for sure. I decided on the Samsung for three reasons: looks and thinness, QD OLED, price. I was able to pick one up for $949 at Best Buy and because I buy into their Best Buy Total membership, I get a full 2 year warranty on the whole monitor instead of the standard one year.

I really didn’t want the built-in software, just wanted a monitor but I keep finding myself using it to watch live tv … it is quite convenient.

Love the enthusiasm but the fact that the monitors have "different fps" tied to them is purely just misinformation. And for that reason I am questioning everything in the video...
