Smooth scrolling with one line of CSS

First time I ever use background music on a video. What do you think? Good, too loud or distracting? Never again or keep doing it? If I do, it'll probably only be on the short ones that I do.

whilst this works now in safari, its so janky and fast in comparison to chrome. is there a best practice for smooth scrolling in 2022?

What's the thing in css, that makes the effect on scroll without going to anchor links, just normal scrolling while browsing? Is this the same?

but can we have some padding/spacing from top? like we have have scroll padding in scroll snap??

So now we get a bunch of "developers" that enable this option on each and every website without ever having understood why this even is a CSS option. Great. I also like the "we had to use JavaScript". No one had to use JavaScript, the way the browser prefers to scroll somewhere is perfectly fine. You know, there are even a bunch of browser extensions that disable this kind of "scroll jacking".

Not to exclude lengthier formats, they have their place and purpose. But 90% of the time I'm at work and need a quick "no fluff just stuff" answer, for which this is the perfect format!
