How to Backup Operating System and Applications in Windows 10

i dont want the whole systems back upp man...everyonees only showing that.i just want a refresh file and some basic apps i installed .not the whole damn drive.

what if I don't want to back up but just want to create an image of my operating system?

So I have a small question, I don't have a DVD myself, and I never got one with the PC I have...
So when I'm formatting my boot drive, can I not use the external hard drive itself to boot my OS onto the system again?

hey bro im Gamer since 1999. i have tweaked my pc its so smooth with windows 10 like never before in my life. any idea how i can change the exactly operation system with all CMD bcdedit. netsh tcp ip settings in ethernet controller nvidia settings and all in my system now?. think doing system restore point and registry backup isnt it

you are saying use the windows 7 backup method instead of the windows 10 backup method. windows 10 has a backup image button all its own. though I have not been able to get it to create a backup image to my 4TB HD which is formatted as EXfat. might that be the problem?

If I do not create a stem repair disk can I use the image file to recreate windows and office on a new computer or if My current computer has a hard drive faiure

I have an 500GB hard drive and created 3 primary partitions. Will those partitions be saved while backing up the OS? I have files on those partition and just wondering If I need to make them again.
If I have an backup of the entire drive and paste the backup into the new one, will the OS be as nothing has happened or some things will change?

I think the backup is made just for the user home directory, which means that the apps were not backed up.
