Back then that was a fortune. Back then winning $99,000 was like winning $1,120,000. Almost like winning, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?"

The answer that the contestant before Ralph gives is actually incorrect. It was incorrect then and it's incorrect now. Disregarding the serial number, the #1 actually appears on a dollar bill 16 times, it appears in both word and numerical form 8 times each.

Art Carney said that when he had Norton waving his arms around, warming up for whatever he was about to do, he was copying his own father, who actually did warm up routine in real life.

The show is the logo of all situation comedies. Its pure comic genius. I always laugh even though I have seen the show a hundred times.

This is my favorite episode.I think the 1st contestant looked a lot like Steve Martin the comedian.His voice is very similar to Steve's too.I wonder if they are related.
