Brilliant. Aronofsky made the best depiction of the true spiral of addiction and despair. I got to meet Jared Leto at a 30 Seconds to Mars concert in 2007 and talked about it with him for a while.

First time hearing and I am in awe...love the use of the trumpet and chorus in this. Not sure why this remind me of the game of thrones though..lol

I remember a friend who loves Requiem for a dream only for the "🍑 to 🍑" scene...

A haunting piece of music

Requim for a dream is a very good explanation of the despair you feel while in withdrawals from opioids or heroin. It also depicts the phycosis of amphetamines well and the state of mind it puts you in while the credits are rolling is but a fraction of the mental and physical pain of addiction. I really wish i wouldve watched it before i started using instead of wayy after

Requiem for a Dream is NOT about addiction. Addiction was a small part of one story. It was a movie about people dreaming of something they desired and the eventual loss of their dream. The title of the movie tells you what the movie is about. Mourning the remembrance [Requiem] of a dream.

I cry. every time I hear this, I cry. Such an epic movie deserves such music.

God, I hated this movie so much. Not because it's bad, it's brilliant, but watching addicts try to repair their lives, only to collapse into relapse and despair is the most tragic reality one can go through and I see that on the streets every day. I don't want to watch a movie about it ever again.
