Unusual situation In Iceland - 2 Ancient And Dormant Volcano Systems Waking Up

Not one but two Ancient Volcanic systems in Iceland are slowly but surely waking up we have never before experienced such uncertainty when it comes to the geology of our island. The Glacier capped Hofsjökull is rumbling more than ever at the same time when the so-called Ljósufjöll volcanic system seems to be even further into a buildup to an eruption. Has this to to with the tectonics?, the mantle plume? - It's hard to say, but the seismometers have an interesting story to tell now when we though the year was over as for surprises.
