Is there a torque spec for the spider bolts?
ОтветитьTake It To The Junk Pile and buy another Brand Mine Was Made in Korea. Buy American Made Products. 😢
ОтветитьI believe they sell the bearings separately and you just have to bang them out and replace them
ОтветитьSpider arm failed on my 8 year old Samsung washer. I’m in the UK so there were some variations to your appliance but the concept was the same. Luckily I only had 3 spider bolts to remove, one requiring drilling out. I would not have diagnosed and gone ahead with the repair if it was not for this fantastically concise video. Thank you.
ОтветитьAmazing but i can see a lot of work and may not be able to put it all back together. Mine was only 6 months old when spider broke. If i could get someone to help i would be able to give it to away. Seattle techs don't want to bother fixing
ОтветитьPlanned obsolescence
ОтветитьWhoever put the bolt on the back of my washer was a Greek god or something it will not come out for nothing
ОтветитьVery good video, thanks mate you are genius.
ОтветитьWow, that bolt is really really hard to get loose. Any tips? I used WD-40 and let it soak. The bolt won’t budge, but the hole on that big plate is starting to deform from how much pressure I’m applying to the bolt
ОтветитьExcelente!!!!! Video para cambio de bomba de agua????? Gracias.
ОтветитьThe only thing missing was a torque wrench. Good job. Thank you. Gold hands
ОтветитьThat's a lot of corrosion on the spider. Is it made out of Magnesium or Aluminum?
ОтветитьLove this video. Im an engineer and have rebuilt BMW engines. This is the exact problem mine has an I am just going to say F,U Samsung and buy a new one. Thanks.
ОтветитьI appreciated your time the explanation was excellent, thank you for you patient to show entire process ❤
ОтветитьMy Samsung had this problem after 12 years. Spider looks like crushed gravel!! This video was extremely helpful!
ОтветитьGood video. Thank you
ОтветитьWhy can't the bearings and seals be replaced on this? I just watched a video on replacing the bearing ad seals in a unit that looked just like this one.
ОтветитьExcellent video on how to. But for me having a 10 year old washer about halfway through the video, I decided this was way too much work and I would just buy a new one. But a special special. Thanks to this gentleman who did an excellent job. The first comments being easy and inexpensive we’re sort of misleading.
Ответить30 seconds into it he’s like “this should only take a few minutes to show you” the video is 45 minutes long dude
ОтветитьTorque specs would be helpful
ОтветитьSuper vidéo :) Nous avons sauver plusieurs centaines de dollars.
ОтветитьWhat is the size of that wave washer? My washer model is WF42H52000-A? Thanks for great video.
ОтветитьSamsung makes ok TVs but garbage appliances. They look pretty and are a little cheaper, but cost you alot more in the long run. Appliance repair persons dream.
ОтветитьReplace the bearings and seals at the same time they will fail
ОтветитьHighly detailed video.... thanks a lot
Ответить:29- :33 is a lie.
ОтветитьHow much does this cost if you have a repair company do the work?
ОтветитьThis guy did an amazing job. Wow. Very easygoing calming attitude. I just finished mine now, seems to be working fine....thanks so mucn
Ответитьthe man who designed the spider bolt needs to be put in a room full of spiders.
Ответитьnow do this in a cramped confied space while its leaking too and full of dirty clothes and its too dark to see and you have to squeeze behind it because they built the door way in front of it after they installed it.
Ответитьappliance repair? sorry im too stupid, i think im gonna go be a rocket scientist instead.
ОтветитьConsidering the speed these things spin, no torque specs?
ОтветитьYou are MASTERS, thank you!!
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьHey, great demo on the repair. Best one I have observed. Thank you.
ОтветитьOMG, that is why Samsung has high failure rate! LG not have this issue, is metal.
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks. FYI, On my WF350ANW/XAA I needed to take out a screw holding the dispenser drawer in place so I could push it back a little or the control panel couldn't release. Hopefully reassembly once parts arrive goes as well.
ОтветитьAnd this is why repair men get paid. Always opt for the extended warrantee.
ОтветитьFantastic video. Replaced my spider arm with zero issues. You guys are awesome!!
ОтветитьVery helpful instructions! Our WF209 model had a few minor differences but without this video it would have been very hard to replace the spider assembly. Now our machine is working again!
ОтветитьMajor disassembly! I am an eternal optimist and pretty handy. I like the tone of his voice, made me feel like I’m almost done. Haha all ya gotta do is…step 155
ОтветитьThese spider arms appear to be engineered to fail at about the 11th or 12th year mark. Imagine the ridiculous science that went into that. This is planned obsolescence. It would cost virtually nothing to make these impervious to corrosion indefinitely. I'm currently repairing our machine, and I'm wondering if I should treat or coat the spider arm with some sort of corrosion inhibitor. If I can constantly repair this thing, that's what I'll do. It's been a great washing machine otherwise, and has taken its fair share of abuse simply because of how frequently it was used.
ОтветитьDo you have the DC92-00658C PC board?
ОтветитьNext time this breaks I'm not even bothering to repair it. Even with this excellent video the time sink of this repair, along with additional damaged compnants, is ridiculous.
ОтветитьI did mine recently. No issues. I'll give credit to Samsung for at least making it repairable. Albeit a major repair. I've seen others that seal the tub halves such that they cannot be separated without cutting plastic latches that cannot, then, be relatched to rejoin the halves.
ОтветитьAny idea why these spider arms are made from aluminum (or magnesium, or whatever it is)? Other than weight, and manufacturing cost saving, my only theory is that they do double duty as a sacrificial anode and thereby protect the axle and bearing hub from corrosion. In the course of replacing mine I noticed that both the bearing hub and the axle were totally corrosion free. And it's not because they are stainless steel. They are plain steel. I think it's because they are protected by the spider arm acting as a sacrificial anode. That protection means only the spider arm needs replacing, and bearing hub (molded into the rub) survives. If everything was steel they might both corrode to the point of failure.
