I’ve followed Dr. Youns videos for the longest time and I finally made an appointment for my consultation at his office. I was so secure with my visit that I prepaid to get radio frequency microneedling done in a few weeks. I’m hoping for good results on my neck and face. I don’t want to change my looks but I’m looking forward to a more slightly tighter face and neck. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Dr. Youn and his employees so I’m comfortable with getting a little somethin somethin done.

But what if it's because I have a small head and s small lower jaw? Like, it's not too bad, I've always looked like this. But I kinda hate seeing myself in profile..

Thanks, Dr. Youn, but I thought that heat-producing devices actually dissolve fat in the face that we want to preserve, especially in an older person. I also thought that injecting filler in the lower face (i.e., jaw line) in an older person will only add volume (which you do not want), making the jowl area look even heavier -- that the idea is to use something like Sculptra, higher up in the pre-auricular space, which will lift and tighten the jaw line. That makes sense to me. Could you respond to this, please? Thank you.

Be careful with the kybella! I had a very small double chin and the kybella got rid of the fat but left me with saggy skin. I’m going to try microneedling to tighten the skin.

Injections aren't sustainable but more like a last ditch effort before giving up unless you gave up already and expect someone to fix you. I tried temporary cheek injections once years ago. At my appointment I was asked why I wanted the procedure and I remember saying it was birthday and I wanted a happier resting bitch face. She then asked me how much I smoke and that surprised me. So she refused to do it that day and told me to smile more and suggested therapy and quitting smoking. If I still wanted the injections in 3 months come back and I did. And I called her again in a week thinking I needed more. She really talked some sense into me and offered non invasive alternatives. I have so much respect for her and always send her referrals to this day. I agree with tropicals like retinol for prevention. Diligent skin care with targeted actives, healthy living, clean eating, no sugar, no smoking, stay hydrated, stay active, stretch, love and grow old with all the ups and gravitational downs.
