great video
ОтветитьGreat information !
ОтветитьSo what light should I buy?
ОтветитьAWESOME video. Thank you very much for sharing this knowledge.
ОтветитьGreat video. Another drawback with led is they don't get hot enough to melt snow and ice
ОтветитьHID lights for vehicles to buy link
ОтветитьI want to mount 6 led lights on my 2008 tacoma. Total watts of the lights add up to 396 I'm using two wiring kits each with 40amp relays. Do you think it will be ok to run on arock battery and alternator with no problem ?
ОтветитьHi. I just wanna add.
HID: needs few seconds to peak light. Only few.
LED: needs few minutes to reduce brightness to protect overheating.
The most cons of HID is the wiring and other components needed for it to work.
What model, size is the black led light in your video? I want to order some.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьMan, wtf is a foton
ОтветитьDo halogens get hot enough to melt ice build up on the lens?
ОтветитьMy car has halogen lights bulbs. Can they easily be switched to HID
ОтветитьI have the apollo 850 and 851 hid's for my truck. Love them.
ОтветитьGreat Video.
ОтветитьDude. I'm an electrician and I totally stopped listening when you said electron. Bright, not bright, or WAY bright, that's all I'm looking for.
Ответить2020 Jeep has all LED so the natural direction of off road lighting most would think 🤔 of sticking with LED. After listening to this video I’m a bigger fan of the HID option. Good vid.
ОтветитьThere is another downside to Hid that's worth a mention and that is the high voltage requirements which are potentially lethal if care is not taken.
ОтветитьHIDs in theory sound great but the bright white is terrible for visibility especially in dust clouds. Would adding an amber cover to the lens change the color enough to increase visibility?
ОтветитьHe said “HID” and “reasonable cost”. LMAO!
ОтветитьCan I convert my Ray line Halogen remote spotlight to a brighter bulb or lens? Keeping the same outer shell? I have the Rayline marine 146 sl remote control spotlight .Seems like I could fit a better bulb in with no problems?
ОтветитьLEDs are being Switched at 60hz or 90 hz ( might exhibit noticable flicker )
Halogen Filament lights are Continious beam .
130 watt H3 halogens are white and bright , very nice .
'
HID is a much better brightest diamond white daylight...
no wonder why this man use a cap on the head
Great work 🔥
ОтветитьI like them but they expensive
ОтветитьI work for the dot and operate a snowplow during the winter and usually the night shift by choice. The state truck l drive, a 2019 Peterbilt, has an led spot light mounted on the right mirror with a cab control. A big issue with using the spotlight in the snow is, depending on how hard it’s snowing, that spotlight can be useless in five minutes because gets caked with ice.
I’m looking to get auxiliary driving lights for my 95 Ford F-150, my main commuter vehicle in the winter and l don’t want that issue. A couple of times a month while on the night shift, l’ll come across wild horses on or near the highway and l barely see them with the stock headlights which lenses are yellowed and tarnished. Any useful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
“When you see light from LEDs, you are seeing a bunch of photons”
I guess from the other lights, T-Rexes come out?
lol ! i was amazed how deep the topic was covered on a "just" plain simple shop channel =)
ОтветитьWould’ve love to see a comparo of the three different lights, as far as distance and beam concentration goes.
I used to run Cibie Super Oscars with 200 W Halo’s each.
Think they called it a pencil beam. never had issues with them drawing this kind of current.
I replaced my LED 6” aux lights for halogen 6” lights for winter driving. My LED headlights, fogs and previous aux lights would ice up in snow/wet driving causing extremely dangerous drive ability. Since switching to a sae/dot halogen aux in amber/yellow much improved visibility and safety. If you dont get snow then LED all the way!
ОтветитьHaha "affordable"
ОтветитьIt works great and is easy to operate
ОтветитьGreat explanation
ОтветитьLearned from High school + application of the learned = job done ✅ .great explanation
ОтветитьWhat is best light for car sir
ОтветитьI had kissy day letter 150 W you watch spot balls oh my God those are crazy insane I'd like the original . Not new just my thought
ОтветитьHow do you pull a part blaze international 1920 halogen sport light
ОтветитьExcellent presentation and clearly expounded by a man who knows and understands the subject. Just bought a pair of KC Halogens last week and waiting to craft a front inverted U-bar to mount them upfront.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьLED sucks when you are on a wide road. The light will be scattered and I can't see what's ahead, compared to halogen where it will be scattered too but the light will still be seen. Hahaha I hope you understand that.
Ответитьwhich lights have lowest amp draw for use in a side x side ?
ОтветитьIm very new to this and try to look up for some info but still couldnt find , can you pls explain what the different between led daylighter and slimlite Led in term of function and usage .. thank you
ОтветитьSTOP SAYING ,"SUPER" all the dam time!
ОтветитьIs dude wearing K/C underwear as well?
ОтветитьAs time goes on, I really appreciate halogen housings. It's easy enough to put a high performance LED into the housing and get reat results. Then, you stash a few other bulbs in the glove box as spares or different colors.
Ответитьnice sharing and tutorial in HID
ОтветитьMy problem is the Halogen lights look better.. no one makes LED offroad lights that look like a kc light from the 70s.. chromed. Leds all have like 20 leds in the housing and make it look weird to me. And the housing isnt stylish for a classy truck.
So i go halogen
Lap
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks for taking the time to break it down.
I've been using KC products since the 80's, and still have some old school halogens. The new HID/LED tech is awesome 👍
