The $16 Genesis Game Stick Is Still Awesome In 2023 ... NX Engine 16-bit

I'm now 30 and I give up on trying to complete Battletoads 🗿 I completed 408 games combined on all consoles (not including PC) but god damn Battletoads left mark on my nerd heart

I got one is fine, there was a slight lag in the second controller. Quality control is shit but its a good thing on my second one I bought 2 player games were unplayable on that. There is a snes version and that is horrible.

I have this stick, work great after more than year. Good experience and normal, like should be working.

I dont know i did own a PS1 and PS2 and now im emulating those games and i must say from what i remember the games feel better and look better.
But im also thinking about do what u showed in some of ur video to go SD card way and upscale the output of the games, so still original but not needing the DVD, and play on OG hw, i dont know. Just thoughts going this way in the future, but so far i dont really see a reason. What i play so far works great. Always compare to how the original look graphic wise and what am i missing, so far its not much. Im not saying there arent games that are missing some effects mostly, so the game looks more nicer then in reality would. In games where everything works as it should emulating it makes a huge difference. Emulation will only get better, still getting better. SO i think ill stick to it for now. So i wouldnt say nothing beats playing on original HW, cause thats not really entirely true anymore. Not with every platform anyway.

I got this after your video about it last year and it's great, especially for the price. The controllers are also surprisingly good. Highly recommended.

I have this and love it, but has anyone else come across an issue where the controls "stick"? Not stick physically, more like the controller continues to register dpad movement after you let go of the controls?

Does this device have Super Mario World for Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, the version where Mario throws wooden boxes at his enemies trying to block his advancement in the game?

Am stun how technology can be shrinked down by a 1000 times these day’s using nano technology,back in the 80’s they had to deal with 1500 nm to atleast 800 nm,these day’s we can deal with just 5 nm technology,so you can imagine how much smaller these day’s can be ever made.

Those game sticks are good if you don't want to buy a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive or if the person doesn't own one but the downside is if the stick only plays one retro console or doesn't play all the games from all the add-ons you are missing so many other games you can play.

Did anyone figure out how to add games to this and get it to work. I ended up adding games and and none of them would read. I noticed it comes with 2 different format games. Does anyone know how to take games from one format and turn them into another
Format or where to find all the Sega Genesis roms in the formats this reads? Thanks. I wanted to make a special setup for my niece and this just wouldn't read the games I put on it.

Great review. I think I'm going to buy one. Just a passing thought .. I don't think there's any need for any drama about using a mini HDMI extension lead. It's not a big deal and it's how Amazon Firesricks do it too. I don't think I'd want a dongle sticking out directly from the hdmi port anyway as it might put pressure on the port in the long run

The sanded off chip on this one is ALi D200, an obscure one designed for AnyCast sticks.

As a fan of both the SNES and MD consoles, I'm considering buying both the SF900 Super Nintendo Stick for Super Mario, and the SG800 Mega Drive/Genesis Stick for all the SEGA games, including Sonic The Hedgehog 1, 2, 3, and Sonic & Knuckles

Downside is if you have games on here that have a save function. It will not keep that save after you leave the game, So you're going to have to use save states in order to save the game

Any chance you can make an image of the SD from that stick and upload it?

I have that same system and for some reason my SD got damaged and can't find an image to download and use the stick again.
