PS Vita Screen Comparison (PCH-2000 LCD vs. OLED Vita)

i have the old oled one but it using some fucking dogshit proprietary charger i lost years ago so it's a paperweight

I went with the LCD because in 2023, I was able to find a brand new LCD Vita for a lot cheaper than a brand new OLED Vita, I prefer buying new instead of used.

After the switch oled just go with the oled version.

Dam the oled is so much better that the vita console is even darker and the wood table is a darker tone as well... amazing!

You can really tell the difference on the comparison of the home screen, OLED is smooth looking where as LED you can notice the pixels

This is the first video that I can see the LCD have scanlines but I just bought both from Japan and I love the OLED better but I am afraid of scratching the screen and finding a good screen protector is hard to find

Going for the Switch OLED after watching this, I play 80% handheld, so excited to see how good games look on a slighty bigger screen with vivid colours and darker blacks.

i like the OLED, I also like the slim is little lighter.

I know I am late on this comment this. I had oled but I hate "start" and "select" cos don't feel comfortable. That's why I get 2000 but I still miss original! Anyway thanks for that! Lucky people has happy selected oled ps vita!

The display latency on the LCD is horrendous.

The colors are much better on the oled (especially black/white). The white on the lcd looks yellow ish

And I have the original day one PlayStation vita OLED Display with AT&T 3G/Wi-Fi I never redeemed it for the free game $55 bonus value but I still love the PlayStation vita and I’m angry at the PlayStation people because now they’re shutting the store down for PlayStation vita and PlayStation 3 Like people paid a lot of money for download content and when they have PlayStation plus what’s gonna go on with the games that we already purchased it’s kind of messed up we Buying the consuls And then you discontinue them and then furthermore you’re shutting down the online experience with the PlayStation vita and PlayStation 3 And the stores that’s not nice Sony

The camera on the LCD was little blurry at times and didn’t focus. I just traded for a 2000 model! Modding time!

Personally I like the 2000 still the same resolution just different looking in the colors not considering the screen colors the 2000 is great!

LCD is a little bit of light but the OLED has a lot of blue

I have the original PS Vita 1000. I got it new back in the day and I've been playing it for a long time. The system and screen are still super good. In fact, I bought a Nintendo Switch recently and was really confused about why my old PS Vita looked better than the New Swtich. I googled for answers and learned that the OLED is the reason. In fact, the screen difference makes me not even like the switch. The experience really is lacking. It feels like looking at a shallow pool (LCD) vs looking into a deep ocean full of rich color (OLED). Playing Stadia games on my phone/laptop is better than the Switch, because of my OLED high PPI android screen.

Nice video thank you! I have the LCD one, i feel they both look very good and it is very unnoticeable when you are playing retro games...running copies of games...on emulators...on a tiny screen anyways...lol.

Is there anyone who has happened to see both of these irl and see if the difference is as noticeable as on camera?

I think I'd prefer to get OLED if possible but heard they "die" quicker? Not sure if they mean the screen or the other hardware...

Why does the psvita logo look less dark on the left when it's not part of the screen

oled screen will eventually burn in, so take that into consideration too.

i think the oled is the best but it needs more fixes and battery optimization but the lcd has 1gb ram wich is really damn good so i think u should buy the 1gb ram lcd because i think is the best choice

Two things that do seem better about the ps vita slim over the original is the smaller touch pad since I always accidentally touch the back pad on the OLED and it uses micro usb
