This is a poem called... I am meth ... written by a girl in prison she died after being released from prison

Samantha Reynolds wrote this in the year 2000. she's never done drugs in here life but saw what they did to people around her. the whole jail story sounds nice but do some research it's well documented.

Unfortunately most of these phrases are taken from the poem My name is Cocaine which came out before the 80s and the author unknown I agree the person who wrote the original needs recognition. Their story told and where they are today.

I've heard before, I can't hear it enough, it does offer escape, seems like good stuff, but the drug is true, the poet too oh how in the beginning I knew, I've lost so many, for a while myself, a chapter I want to put behind me but keep on a shelf, I lost so many I wanted to help but it's grip is strong we all want to belong, to fit in not seeing the grave we will be in, our families go on wondering why they couldn't make you strong they weap and they long for far too soon we are gone.

I've been there, done that. 93 3 of my boys were taken from me, I fought children services and came and took them. 4yrs that I fought the addiction but I finally got away.

Amazing poem

This poem originally is called I am meth, it was written by a young girl in jail soon after she got released the drug owned her as she wrote in her poem and they found her dead of an overdose, with the needle stuck in your arm. It is not called I am pills is called I am meth... I believe she was a Native American young girl. Someone else is trying to take credit and changing words

This is such a powerful poem. The author is unknown. I'm just over 3 years sober from heroin. When I first got sober, I read this every day. I don't need to read it daily now, but I still read it a lot, as a reminder of my life on drugs. My life was every line in that poem & worse & I never want to go back there. Getting and staying sober is the hardest thing I've ever done and worth every moment. Thanks for sharing that!!

Poem is so so.very true 😢. The author knows to their very core drug addiction. Its so painful and so monstrous for the addict and the people who love them. I hate with all my heart this affliction. As the mother of an addict, there is nothing I can ever experience again I believe that will be this painful and devastating. My heart is broken. I hope so much my son will seek help and heal. I am so glad when I hear of people getting free of drug addiction. I am very happy for you Ryan that you escaped this evil. Thank you also for helping people.
