As someone from the UK that hasn't fired a AR or an AK, I can say that I would choose the AK from observation and opinions. I went to the States in 2018 but I went to LA and I know that Cali has some of the strictest laws in the US. I fired some pistols and that was it. Hopefully one day I will have the opportunity to fire both Ak and AR.
