Which RTX 30 Series GPU for a 34" Ultra Wide 1440p 144Hz Monitor?

Even 2 year ago is On point and agree but I'm getting the 3070 and maybe upgrade for 5070

i have a 3440x1440 144hz AOC monitor so what card would be great today? also have a ryzen 5800x cpu

what about a 3060?

I use a 3070 on a 3440x1440 165hz ultrawide monitor. Its loud AF and I can tell I'm stressing my 3070.

For desktop use, not game at all the 3440x1440@144 and cheapes low profile will be? rx6400 ?

But a 3080 right now is going for $1000. And a 3060 is less than $400.
1000 dollars for a toy seems like a lot.

Little late to the party, but wouldn’t lower end CPUs like the 3600 pair just fine with the 30 series cards on higher resolutions since there is higher overall gpu usage?

i have a ryzen 5600x and a rtx 3070, I do see the point you are making, the difference between 3070 and 3080 should only be cuda cores difference, vram should be same for both 3070 and 3080 as both cards are technically next to each other price wise, so not only getting less cuda's, you also getting less Vram, but in my case i sold my 2070 for good price, and got a cheap upgrade to a 3070, if the next gen cards get scalped, I will sell what I have now and probably nearly get a free upgrade once prices come down of the next gen cards, that's my strategy, as most people are not willing to spend 3080 money, but 3070 is still not a heart burning sum of money for those on a smaller budget, I;m enjoying a 3070, once the a 4070 comes we can see if the they get scalped again, i'll sell the 3070 and just wait it out until can get a 4070 close to msrp for a cheap upgrade, it feels good to save, even though not being able to play any high end game for about 6months to a year, while the stocks recover, at some point the grapghics cards will hit a wall and each gen they won't be twice or 50% faster, and so upgrading every 2 years wont be neccessary, like the gtx 1080ti or 1080 they have been good for 5 years, that might happen with rtx 4000 serries, where you dont have to upgrade for a long time.

What about 3060 aorus elite 12gb, is that card ok for 3440x1440 to get at least 60fps?

Would an RTX 3060 ti work? My CPU is a Ryzen 7 3700X, and I am using an ultrawide 1440p monitor capped at 100hz. I play games like American truck sim and GTA5. If I need to turn some settings down, that's no problem.

Literally, just get a G-Sync Compatible 1440p ultrawide. Don't worry about a CPU upgrade. Don't even stress too much over a GPU upgrade. These videos make it sound like you NEED to hit 144 FPS at all times at max graphics on Cyberpunk. That's just not the case. Poor guy out there thinking his 3600 is gonna be the end of the world for him.

I went from a 27 inch 1440p and 60-90 frames on most games at high medium with a 1660 super to a 49" Samsung odessey g9 and now get 50-60 frames per second, on medium low settings, anyone with a better graphics card than my 1660 super will be fine, I am upgrading though, 3080 on the way, so keen, hopefully I'll get ultra/ high and 100fps would be amazing, this monitor is one of my all time faves

There's so much wrong with this video.

The straight up "buy the more expensive card" with no qualification and/or benchmarking is pretty unhelpful.

Also, you don't need to update a 3600 because it won't bottleneck a RTX3080 in most games.

He's also just told you that it's a 3080 but not a 3090 due to cost and you're recommending he drops $300 plus on a CPU that is only 16 months old.

Now i have a 1440p 144 hz va monitor and for me 3070 or 6800 wud fit in just fine right at the sweet spot. I got mad at my 5700xt cuz it didnt give me 100fps plus while playing bo4 cold war at ultra but i was looking for a stupid reason to get a new gear which is common among pc gamers. 5700xt is a great card but i choose 3070 over 6800 its 75 usd cheaper and in that 75 usd we can buy a nice case or m.2 haha

Will R5 3500x bottleneck too much with RTX 3070 on 3440x1440?
I know I should get a better CPU. But I'm trying to get a solid card. And I'll be upgrading the CPU down the line when Ryzen 5600s become readily available. So I don't want to spend too much on the CPU now.

I think the way you represent the 3600 as not enough is not completely correct, at least imo and because of seeing benchmarks it seems that of course the diffrence is there, but its so low that at least for me (who is kinda on a budget) a cpu upgrade is not worth, but im still a student so i dont have much money and i guess for someone with a job its a reason to upgrade

sometimes it intrigues me that there are people which are fine with spending 1000$+ for a 1440p ultrawide monitor but are going to cheap out on their GPU lol
if you are getting a monitor for over 1000$ you better be spending enough money for a high end GPU to even be able to game on that thing...
nothing below the flagship spec gpus is going to be sufficient to play at an odd resolution such as 3440x1440 with good graphical fidelity and good FPS. in fact 3440x1440 is even more demanding than 4k (which is really dumb when you initially think about it but it is true). so all people who say that 1440p ultrawide monitors are less demanding because they have around half the pixel count as 4k are full of shit. you need a very beefy GPU in order to not get a shitty experience with that resolution.

3600 will be fine, at least for question poster to wait and upgrade to Zen3. It's not like they're not going to be able to play with the ultrawide settings on a 3600. It depends on games of course. COD warzone does better with my 3600 than Planetside 2 does, which is much older game

Posting a month after this was published. The ideal GPU for 3440x1440 144Hz gaming is still the 2080Ti you kept--you all did keep yours, right? Yes, a 3080 would be faster, but since you can't buy one unless you get lucky, and since it is soon to be upstaged by both the best Big Navi GPUs and the its own 20GB version, a 3080 10GB wouldn't be smart now.

CPU isn't an issue when you're pushing such high amounts of pixels. Zero bottleneck at anything above 1440p 16:9, and even then the difference is a few frames when you compare a 3600 to a 3900x.

More importantly, where do I get one of those Adata birds?

First you have to find a 30 series card, my 2080ti does fine on most games on my ultra wide monitor. Probably have to wait until next year anyway before any of the 30 series card are available.
