Kali Linux bootable USB with persistence

Mine goes to the grub screen, it doesn’t show the Kali menu, help me.

1)USB Hard Drive(UEFI) -VendorCoProductCode(VendorCoProductCode)

2) OS Boot Manager(UEFI)-Windows Boot Manager ( AZ-nvme-A1000-128GB)

3)Boot From EFI

And then when I enter first option then this pou up was shown------

Minimal BASH- like line editing is supported. For the first word,
TAB list possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB list possible devices or file completions.

May I ask you something? I have problems when using Kali Live USB with persistence. Everything went OK until I try to reboot/shut down and my pc freezes with Kali logo on the screen. Can u help me?

This looks interesting but it assumes you use windows an Rufus. How do you do that in case you are only using a Mac and Linux ?

Seeing you've made this video, or if you do an update, it's nice to know I can send it to people I know so they can easily setup everything to carry Kali with them, as it's hard for me to just try to explain the steps off memory when I don't have the time to guide them through it, or they just want something they can easily watch and take at their own pace, as this does a really good job at covering everything that needs to be done!

Does this mean an apt update will stay too or is there another trick for it

Not working. The creation is the easy part. It's amazing how it is, no one talks about the very common problem in creating a live kali usb. I did it again and again over and over with the same result. I manage to get to the menu after booting and when I choose the operating system I get the logo and then a black screen that remains forever. Any ideas what the hell can be the problem. So far I have not seen any solution, it would have solved a serious problem for lots of people that report about it. I have a desktop pc not a laptop. THX

I tried the rufus program, and selected the kali iso, and I have a 8GB USB, but there is no ability to create a partition on it, as shown here in this video. 🤔

Are the tools available on kali as a full persistence install? With the live version, the latest I have from last year, it doesn't install for example armitage tool which is used using the metasploit tool.

Just redoing a kali live usb install. The rufus-3.21 app that some people may have as a windows 10 app didn't go to prompt for add those files. Funny thing is I don't remember installing it as an app either. Anyhow rufus is at 4.1 or 4.1p for portable. Used the new one. Prompted for files. Seems faster as well.

On the kali written to usb part im gerting an error is says could not assign drive letters

I didn't do anything but just download and used the tool it just opened own itself is that possible or that boot thing u told I didn't do it it opened on its own so is that an issue ?

You should have done this using virtual box cuz that takes a short period of time to install without changing the boot options

Hi there, first off thank you fot he video it was very helpful. I followed everything and managed to get kali linux on USB and I can now run it when I restart my laptop by inserting the USB. The only problem is, it is very slow, it take about 2-4 minutes to boot the system and then when I am in, it take significant amount of time to load anything and it crashes sometimes. Any recommendations? Different USB port or different USB in general? Thank you

It shows you need to load the kernel first , and my secure boot is also disable please help what to do ?
