This is my theory that what can happen in stranger thing season 4 :-
I think all the six actors (Mike, eleven, max, dustin, lucas, will) will travel past in time and they will go in season 1,at the time when will byers got missing and when ( lucas, mike and dustin) went to find "will" at night where they met eleven for the first time but if you guys know before they(mike and el) met,Mike just said the line "do you guys heard that" twice but in second time they saw eleven , so what did he exactly heard for the first time- is probably the sound of footsteps made by the main six character who returned back in time and reached that spot. And I think the all main character will travel back in time maybe for two reasons.

First :- they travelled to the past to find dr. Brenner so that he'll help eleven in the regaining of her powers because he is the only one who knows all about el

Second :- they travelled back in time to take season 1 "eleven" with them so there were be two eleven , from season 1 and the present one and they together may defeat mind flayer in upside down

But guys I genuinely support the first reason of time travelling the most because it is appropriate and can be done by not interfering the past too much

I think the most accurate IT reference is bob talking about the clown, the red balloon not really

All the references i got: when they were walking down the train tracks, that was a stand by me reference, when she brought up ralph macchio, i saw an outsiders poster, when they dressed up as ghostbusters, never ending story theme song, obvious it references, a bunch of 16 candles and back to the future references

You guys missed the 7/11 reference and brand style when they weren't nation wide and when the store was limited to rest stops.
There's also the Burger King bag and sandwich wrapping reference.
You also missed the Eddie Murphy music reference to the "Beverly Hills Cop" movie.
There's also a "Weird Science" escalator reference. A group of girls and boys are riding the escalator. One of the girls makes a kissy face at the boys. In the 1985 movie Weird Science, actress Kelly Lebrock did the same thing to a young Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Rusler, but she wasn't with girls.

There's also the obvious video store VHS movies seen in the last episode and the obvious Firestarter reference, but the nose bleeding reference, since Stranger Things season one, is a nod to Charlie's father. In the film Charlie's father nose bleeds whenever he gets angry and use his power.


There's also a none 80's reference of Dawn of the Dead in season 3. In the mall Robin slides down the center of the escalator (in Dawn of the Dead, Roger slides down the center of the elevator. This one might be random but the camera shot was done the same way)
