ОтветитьBro forgot to buy real comments

ОтветитьIf youre looking for a free very good screenwriting software. Kit Scenarist. Best one I've used
ОтветитьThis is easily the worst video on writing a short film.
You don't need a logline. You don't need to read scripts. You just need a cool idea. Especially one that you can shoot for no money.
If your goal is to get your short film in festivals - then study the kind of shorts that get in.
Most shorts are done on shoestring budgets - with a great twist ending. Most have humor. Or feature a profound metaphoric ending.
Making shorts is simple. Most shorts don't even require complicated scripts. Many are improvised.
I don't think Rian knows anything about filmmaking - so follow his advice at your peril.
I like your "I'll wait". Made me like, even though I was just looking for an alpha crash course on scriptwriting😂😂😂
ОтветитьI wrote features before going to short scripts. Now I'm hooked on writing short scripts because it helps you get into the story quicker which I had a problem with while writing features. I'm also learning to make short films. And your videos are helpful
ОтветитьThank you sharing this. This honestly help me to figure out how to get started and stay on top of it. Now gotta hold myself accountable.
ОтветитьYou know how to have us glued, love it, very helpful
Ответитьgoogle docs also works as free script writing app
ОтветитьHello, you Said that this is the Second video of the series, please can you put a link for the first one?
thanks
Thanks
ОтветитьFree software?
ОтветитьTrue, having an outline to explain what the film is about and keep you on track is invaluable. I really like David Lynch's approach of writing. He starts with 50 to 60 index cards for the beats of the film, then write rearranges them accordingly, then fleshes the scenes out and begins his dialog.
ОтветитьHow are your scripts proceeding, do you have an agent? If not any recommendations for having people look at it?
ОтветитьExcellent production and tips!
Ответитьyou've literally been no help dude
won't recommend
I would advise making a short film as close to a silent film as possible, to design it so visuals alone tell the story. If you only have 5 minutes you don't want to clutter it up with dialogue.
ОтветитьWOW
ОтветитьThanks for this
ОтветитьKit Scenarist Is a great free Screenwriting software. I would highly recommend it.
ОтветитьWhy is this guy not posting anymore?
ОтветитьNice one👍👍👍
ОтветитьGreat video. Wonder why'd you just disappear
ОтветитьHello how to write many actions (not fight) in the same scene.
For example : if man writing a book in his room, then clean the room , dress changing , switch off the light and go out
As follows ,
Scene. Room
Int/Day
Man writing book-----cut to---
Int/Day
Man cleaning Room-----cut to-------
Int/Day
Man dress changing
.-----cut to -----
Int/Day
Man switching off light and go out.
Is this correct ? If not how to write it ? Reply please.
Thanks 🙏
Ответитьhow do you only have 5000 subs. you deserve way more than that.
ОтветитьWhere have you gone
ОтветитьSecond of all, Im not a professional writer by any means - hahaha that had me in stitches 🤣
Ответитьthis dude delivers talk like the Facebook owner
ОтветитьI like writing stories but struggling to put them together as a film. Currently studying film and media studies to become a filmmaker
ОтветитьJust subscribed to support your great work. Kudos . Am now ready to write my first script as I wanna make my first short film about Rethinking Tourism
ОтветитьThanks a lot
Ответитьsuuuper helpfull thanks!
ОтветитьWhat I really don't get is why one would apply the classical three act structure or story circle, which are both meant for feature length films, on short films? You could say everything that has beginning, middle, end has a "three act structure." But forcing the character through a hero's journey in such a short time seems a little crazy. Short films are precicesly the area, where form and structure and time can be played with creatively... there is most often no way to make a character reasonably change in a 10 page script, like it does in a full length movie. Rather than that short films should be maybe one big scene, or a feeling, a premise, an idea etc... you can do anything.
ОтветитьI think I'll write a short film about a cute guy who tries to teach us how to write a film script....I'll start..tomorrow :) Thanks for the vid. new subscriber !
ОтветитьI pledged the film
ОтветитьTaking the time to outline or plan will always ease the anxiety of writing and life in general😆
Ответитьhey man, as i see last video is 1 year ago, why did you stop. this video helped me so much thanks, carry on
ОтветитьNice job
