Why Everyone is WRONG About the RX 6500XT

I needed a card that can run a 1080p desktop and play current games at 30 fps and I don't want to spend $500+ and my MB doesn't support PCIE Gen4
This card is perfect for me.

6500 is e waste change my mind ,it should have never been released the 6400 is the exact same and that is also in a low profile version which gives it a selling point. I'd rather get a used 3050 than a new 6500

My old on is a 550/550, is this better?

edit: I’m running it with the 13th Gen i3 for $100, 32 gb of ddr5 ram for $70, pushing ultra most games.

They made this card to mimic what Nvidia does......

I'm an og, having cut my teeth beating Gorf on C64. I've always identified as such but never could get into the community as it has always seemed unrealistic in its collective expectations and vitriolic in response to things it disagrees with.

I don't know how this older video popped in my feed but it did.
I have the XFX version of this and using it on a 1440p monitor. It was a placeholder that I got on sale for $179 during the boom. It went in my granddaughters new PC until a beefier option became available cost wise. I was sporting a RX570 and dropped this in and it runs everything I play just fine at med settings. I cant tell the difference in med-high-ultra unless I sit here and stare at shit, I dont do that, I just play.

Glad to see a review that didn't shat on it. AMD saved a lot of people from a miserable experience releasing this card during that time, ngreedia fans didn't get shit, except a hefty credit card bill, unless you count the 3050 they were trying to get over $500 for during the boom.

Yes, it's not a top end card and is anemic when compared to others. But it was comparatively cheap and it does what I want it to. I put it in the 500$ budget box I got last christmas that ran off an integrated GPU, and I wasn't about to put in a card that cost as much as the PC itself. I intend to use it for a couple years before upgrading. Works for me.

Careful on motherboard PCI version ! Rx 6500 is on 4.0, if you put it on a 3.0 you will limit her verry much !

From Australia in June 2023 the 6500xt 4gb now sells for $169 aus dollars brand new. Only cheaper new cards are nvidia 710 and 730 with 1 or 2gb

I never do.gaming or video rendering, but I open about 10 heavy programs at the same time, but my i5-12400+32gb ddr4 ram can handle easily, but I noticed that internal graphics struggle with that, So I got a second hand rx5500 for 100usd, now it runs faster and cooler... Thia 6500xt budget could be my upgrade.. it has a higher memory thats all I need "higher memory"!! Thanks for the info!

This card games for me at 4k medium settings. Pro tip Don't update your drivers. Amd has crippled the card with the most recent drivers but earlier drivers, this card runs like a beast

and it's pretty good card for 1080p 60Hz gaming, atleast compared to 1650 and 1660 which cost around 250-300$ when I bought the 6500 xt

I just picked this card up by gigibyte for $150. I am building a computer for a my wife's friend that does not game and just needed a basic gpu. Its going in a b450 with ryzen 5 3600 and 16gb ram, fractal design case, 500gb ssd and cooler master 600w power supply for $550. Everything should be here next week.

I do like your video here with this rx 6500xt. No its not the latest greatest but its PCIE 4.0 and has 18 Gbps memory speed. Cant be that bad picked up the ASUS TUF GAMING RX 6500 XT OC for 119 $ now thats what I call a bargain.
