the sound when he catches his sword mid fall sends chills down my spine. I love this scene so much!
ОтветитьDid they actually make Ian fall down a pit fighting the balrog ?
ОтветитьThe Balrog would've and should've been Gandalf's brother.
ОтветитьOne thing I really like about this scene, is when Gandalf shouts "you shall not pass!" Slams his staff into the bridge, and a flash of light ensues....and the Balrog takes a step back. I could be wrong, could just be the Balrogs natural reaction to this or, the Balrog recognises Gandalfs power and takes a step back.
Ответитьthe sound of glamdring spinning in the wind is....gosh, this gives me goosebumps and strong feels every friggin time
ОтветитьThey should just sell the lore rights to Jackson. Nothing is going to top this
ОтветитьMan pulled a thor there
ОтветитьI can’t get over how Tolkien introduced a creature just as powerful as Sauron in the first book and had Gandalf smoke it’s ass in the second. Sauron probably would’ve lost to Gandalf
ОтветитьLegolas knows just how fearsome the Balrog is. Two of the mightiest elves lord, sacrificed themselves to defeat that thing. Glorfindel and Ecthelion. Both died fighting Balrog
ОтветитьThe power of Window XP CGI.
ОтветитьIt’s the “fly, you fools!!” That gets me everytime 😢
ОтветитьEsta escena en cine debio haber sido tremenda.🤘🏼
ОтветитьSir Ian always looking dope! 🔥😎
ОтветитьThe balrog totally saved the lot of them.
ОтветитьNote how the Balrog's way of falling is the same as that of the cave troll
ОтветитьOne of the most amazing things ever committed to film.
ОтветитьTime to test the witch King of angmar
ОтветитьWhat an absolute chad Gandalf is
ОтветитьLOTR>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GOT
ОтветитьI remembers this scene when I was a kid, I almost sht my pants😂
ОтветитьCan you imagine the writing of this scene.
“As the balrog fell, he throws his whip up to the edge of the bridge, catching Gandalf and bringing him down with him.
Gandalf, instead of being struck with fear as he surely falls to his death, is taken by anger, releasing the dog within him. and fighting that mf mid-air, impaling the balrog with his sword.
Gandalf says "a Balrog... " and the camera immediately shifts to show Legolas with his eyes glazed in horror because he's the only other one who has any idea what that even means.
ОтветитьThe Balrog actually saved the fellowship.
ОтветитьMe working border patrol in Texas on a Tuesday afternoon.
ОтветитьThe badassery and determination of gandalf's face while reaching Glamdring at the abys in beyond words. Not even a glimpse of doubt: "Im coming for your soul Demon of Morgoth!!!! "
Ответить"YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!"
Gets me everytime. Speechless. 😶
Killing demons and smoking weed, literally the perfect being
ОтветитьI've not seen these movies in years so maybe it's explained at some point but how did Gandalf and the balrog come to be at the top of a tower/mountain after having been shown falling into the deepest depths?
ОтветитьThen he comes back 10x stronger like a Saiyan
ОтветитьI thought it cut away when he was pulled off the bridge
ОтветитьSeeing this for the first time during my teens blew my mind!
ОтветитьYou skipped the fly you fools part
ОтветитьFun fact, Peter Jackson demanded that a real Balrog be used for this scene. After an extensive search in the caves of New Zealand, the production crew found one.
ОтветитьThey should make a Balrog Pokémon out of it
Dark/Fire type with the ability to change to pure Dark when a Water Pokémon or Rain Dance is on the field. 👹🔥
One of the greatest scenes in cinematic history.
ОтветитьOne thing I've never noticed after countless rewatches of this scene, look at Gandalf the moment the camera zooms out after he breaks the bridge. He looks chill af
ОтветитьIt has wings but insists on continuing to fall.
Ответить"Try that, Dumbledork."
ОтветитьGandalf & Balrog defo had some beef to settle lol
ОтветитьThis scene solidified Gandalf as fucking BADASS
Ответитьthis is my fav part of the whole movie🍿😧💖
ОтветитьQuite possibly the most Metal Movie moment of all time
