My docker doesn't turn on. e ERR: Use of domain variable is not supported. First host/domain who tries to connect to COOL is always allowed.

To anyone implementing this in April 2022 or later (i.e. on CODE 21.11+), there have been a few major changes that will BREAK your install. First, when setting up the docker container, leave the "domain" variable BLANK. If you put anything in it, the container will fail to start. Collabora will automatically allow the first domain that attempts to connect through. Second, Collabora has dropped support for the "loleaflet" and "lool" paths. They have been replaced by "browser" and "cool", respectively. You will need to change 1 loleaflet path to "/browser" and 3 lool paths to "/cool" in the config file. Hope this helps!

Nextcloud refuses to find my collabora server, the conf file you provided just shows the nginx welcome page, when I use the swag default one it just shows "ok" yet nextcloud still refuses to find it

Does anybody know if there's a way to allow people to edit documents without it allowing saving? I want to share a spreadsheet for people to use as an online calculator - so I want people to be able to interact with the document but for it to revert back to normal when closed. Being able to open several of the same document would also be a huge help too.

Is anyone having an issue where everything appears to be working properly until, when you open the document, you get "Unauthorized WOPI host"? I'm stuck....

* When installing 'Collabora', change "C" to a little "c" (collabora) not Collabora, then install. Now everything should work just fine as in this great instructional vid ;-)

Hey Spaceinvader. Thanks for this guide. There is one small error though, and you can see it in your video. In your attached configuration file, you have the upstream server set as "collabora". The default docker name is "Collabora". The uppercase C makes a difference. Other than that, spot on. Thanks again!

So I followed the guide
I am able to see my documents in nextcloud and when I open a docx or xlsx file, it just opens to a blank page
Also, I can create a new doc or spreadsheet, and name it, but it also opens up to a blank page without any editing options

Reading a .pdf worked perfectly

Any thoughts on what the issue may be with opening docx /xlsx files to read or edit?

I followed your video to a T as far a directions and collabora failed to start any documents then I noticed something. You kind of missed a step. You didn't mention in this video that you had to go into letsencrypt docker settings and add the collabora subdomain to the subdomain area after nextcloud for the certificate. Once I did this I was able to get collabora working correctly. But Thank you for such a great video! But if you could make a notation of this if it has not been already noted.

This kind a thing is fun but for personal use is not cost effective..

Not sure who else will see this, but I figured out how to fix issues with duckdns and lets encrypt. Hopefully this helps others.

1) Edit the container app to be a lowercase C
2) Change line 8 in his config file to a lower case C as well (should look like this: "server collabora:9980;").

Hello thanks for all the videos you've made. Quick question, in the newest version of the nextcloud docker, I have to check "Disable certificate verification (insecure)" to make this work. Is this safe to check?

I am using a subdomain and it has a secure cert (from letsencrypt) but when I try and open a file it doesn't load. I enable disable certificate verification in the collabora online settings of nextcloud and it works. Really would like to have the ssl working. Am I missing something?

Any advantage to using onlyoffice compared to collabora?

DO NOT forget to add your Collabora sub-domain to Lets Encrypt's sub-domains list! Took me 5 hours of struggling and rewatching videos to finally figure out!

Well I followed all the direction and it doesn't work . Collabora seems as if it is going to open and it does not . I have gone over every item at least half dozen times and I can not find anything that is not as it should be. Something must have changed from the time this video was mad to today. I am getting too close to giving up on this one and trying something else. Any ideas anybody?

Thank you. I tried to install callobora a few times in the past but i failed. There where two errors i made:
1. the special format in the callobora docker installation for the domain connection.
2. the letsencypt .conf of course.

is the a way to sync nextcloud file with a directory? ex. on my win10 machine, if I wanted to sync the Mydocuments folder with a folder and nextcloud. so if i make a new document in my win10 it will create it on my nextcloud, and whatever I create on mextcloud /Mydocument will show in my win10 Mydocuments. thx

Good video! PLEASE do an onlyoffice video with documentserver, community server and email integration with Nextcloud support! We've been trying to get this to work properly for two weeks now! Seems super buggy. Can get to work about 90%

Can this be done with a subfolder instead of a subdomain?

As always, a great video and things worked like a charm for me. Although, I think you should have included the step of adding the subdomain in the LetsEncrypt container. I know that you mentioned watching your previous videos multiple times but for a person following step-by-step it would be confusing and they will wonder why things aren't working after they followed along entirely.
