if you look at the carburator there is an electronikaly controled electrovalve that controls fuel for better economy in fuel.this is impresive for a soviet car of that age

Только пожалуйста не разгоняйься на ней быстрее 20 миль в час. Это очень опасный автомобиль. Тонкие стойки крыши(с палец) , металл низкого качества, слабые и посточнно клинящие супорта и барабанны тормозов. Шланги тормозов и бензинопровода из резины плохого, просто ужасного качества быстро тресеаются и лопаются в неожиданный момент. Шлицы рулевого вала часто срезает прямо во время движения, у меня 2раза было. Проводка может загорется прямо на ходу, а еще хуже когда вы уснули в машине. Срезает крепление карданного вала. Передние рычаги часто вырывает в месте крепления шаровых опор(там всего полоска металла меньше пол дюйма держит колесо), славо богу когда это все было со мной я ехал очень медленно.

Wow 9.5k for a Lada, you were robbed. I had a Polski Fiat (125P 😂) They were definitely better constructed. The heater was phenomenal, it had a rod speedo and looked like something out of a dodgy 1980's scifi tv series. It also had a flashing light on the dashboard, that was for a hand throttle! The only other car I still own that has one of those was made in 1931. I guess you need one when the temp reaches -50. The seats were the most comfortable of any car. The brakes just didn't work and would make an atheist believe in God each time the pedal was depressed. The handbrake was crap too, but that didn't deter you from desperately operating it with all your might when you realised you weren't going to stop. It also only had a four speed transmission.
I wouldn't want to imply anything in common so speaking for myself, cars are a sickness and the only cure is to stop breathing. All the best. 👍

actually 2105 and 2107 had different engines. 2105 had 1200cc engine and 2107 had 1500cc engine

And hah, I forgot the one for Trabant: Why did owners of trabant lock their doors: because someone could mistakenly think its a toilet and take a dump in it.

I am from Denmark where cars have always been very expensive because of a high tax on the purchase price of the car, so both Lada and the old rear engined Skodas had an actual market share when I was a kid.
I have driven a Lada once (the older version with circular headlights but other than that the same) and it was by far the most horrible car I have ever driven, and I have driven a lot of different stuff. That particular car was at the end of its life to be fair, but still 😃

Central vents are not connected to heater at all, just to hole behind it. Most owners covered it with piece of cardboard or something and installed radio instead of vents. So did I :) Carburetor is actually 2 barrel and as I could see from the video, is an awful Ozon-2107, which is a bootleg copy of italian Weber. This carb is just bad in many ways. So I think if you slap in some 2 barrel Weber carburetor (from Ford Sierra for examlpe), you would be surprised by much better dynamics and performance.

Polski Fiat also made version of the Fiat 124. My grandpa had one!!

The way to make a lada worth driving in this day and age is to bore out the engine, put a fuelninjector on it, swap in a rear axle from a lancer, stiffen up the springs, and crash it in amateur ralley. That is the legacy of this car, its the cheapest way to get a chassis you can turn into a budget race car.

I had several Lada Riva's in the 70s. I loved them. I had both the cars and estates. I don't think I ever had a problem with any of them. It's a pity they were stopped coming into this country. I would love another estate, a big handy car.
