Dualsense Edge vs Scuf Reflex FPS Controller - What has Sony done?!

I’m in the same boat I have both but I always reach for the edge.

My Reflex FPS had a broken left trigger, caused by ADS to automatically release. Returned trying one more..

Ive had a scuf reflex pro for a year and a couple of months. I just had massive stick drift which ingame settings cant fix. I want to try the edge. I dont care about the visual design of controllers

does the scuf have gyro?

Legally warranty is a minimum of 1 year so it’s not possible for SCUF to be 6 months anyway at time of writing the website states a year

If you’re reading this and trying to decide get the edge I bought a scuff and spent $300 to customize it and not even 4 months i got stick drift really bad. Edge is worth it just for being able to replace the stick modules easily

The Edge is ALSO TRASH. I JUST got one delivered today played a few matches of SWBF2, then went on DBD and this BRAND NEW controller was ALREADY having stick drift. Only an hour out of the box, and it's already having issues. Pitiful.

How is 20 pounds a reasonable price for a blatant TERRIBLE design flaw? PS should recall all of their standard Dualsense controllers and give everyone refunds. For a $70 controller, with said TERRIBLE design flaw, PS has the nerve to charge $80-$150 to fix that garbage. As far as the edge goes, they clearly do not care about fixing the terrible design flaw. Like the greedy POS they are, they exploit it by charging $20 per replacement thumbstick. What a JOKE.

People should be boycotting these greedy A holes and demanding a recall with full refund for the standard Dualsense controllers instead of paying $200 for ANOTHER POS that will eventually have the same issue as the $70 POS.

do not buy this controller!!! I play a lot and I will say PS5 Ege is not worth the money!!! I will give one of the many but important reasons (Grip turns yellow over time and starts to bubble, why? It's only glued in the middle! It's proven and it's a waste of your $ 250 because there are better products on the market,!!! Peace

I was wondering if any of you guys know about customization L3 and R3 buttons with these two controllers.. I am mostly playing FPS shooting games such as R6 or COD and crouching and side aiming usually used with L3 and R3 buttons are most annoying so I’d like to customize those for better play.. thanks for your answers.. BTW this video was super cool made with all the informations I needed thanks !!!

Scuf a good design and great back buttons but it is the biggest crap I've ever bought. After maybe 200-300 hours I got a heavy stick drift and I was only playing rocket league with it, no call.of duty and iam not ssl with speed kickoffs just a diamond player. Guarantee was over cause it was the seventh month and they wanted 70 euros to repair it. I got an edge now. Using it for every game no drift, no issues atm. Back buttons are ok but I often press them accidentally. The reason why I like the small back button more than the large one. Using for rocket league left large and right small as example cause I dont need the second one atm for this game.

Apparently Scuf now has 1 year warranty on their controllers. I’m on the fence between the two, what is your guys opinion? I mainly play battle royale games such as fortnite and stuff and fighting games. Heard plenty of bad things about the scuf getting stick drift or triggers breaking after warranty ends and it was only 6 months, but now it’s a year long warranty, so I’m assuming that solves that issues as I could just always return it. What do you guys think?

DO NOT BUY SCUFF PS5 REFLEX ! I bought 2 before the dualsense edge came out and they both developed terrible stick drift within months .

The click on the scuff triggers feels heavy it sucks. They need to put a lighter click. Also feels cheap if you drop it once its pretty much gone lol. Buy the edge.

I like hex gaming controllers they are better than SCUF in my opinion because they are cheaper,has better designs, and is just over all better in my opinion

Ive had the dualsense for 2 weeks and the left paddle doesnt work already, and paddles going out is definitely a common thing with dualsense

Scuf is garbage. Horrible quality materials, even worse customer service. Just an awful product and company.

i just got the edge and its only con, for me, is 2 back buttons instead of 4.
i use to buy scuffs but every one ive owned had a failure early on, so i switched to razer with the raiju
the new scuffs look slick though, i like the paddle layout on yours

When you customize the back trigger in dualsense edge to jump will it continuously keep jumping as long you are pressing or each press will give you one jump only?

The Edge sounds like the winner, but I want to know how long the analogue stick modules will last. It would also be nice if Sony made the controllers in different colours and perhaps with some grippy feel.

Scuf is expensive and not reliable. Streamers are paid to promote their trash overpriced controllers.

The Scuf is a pure Call of Duty Controller. The Edge is a premium controller for every game style.

Definitely get the edge but I’m a 4 paddle player an honestly the scuff is definitely one the better 4 paddle controllers for PlayStation

It sucks I can’t get the Scuf with the reliability and support of the Sony. Why Sony didn’t do 4 buttons and instant triggers I’m not sure. The Edge is a better controller but it just doesn’t do what I want it to, and what most people want it to. They built a custom controller that only competitive players want to buy and then didn’t give it the things we want like instant triggers, something that’s so easy to do.

You should look in to the beloader besavior controller… the 4 back paddles are amazing… the features that their design has are amazing, and if you can work with someone to build you one you can have a fully custom controller with the besavior mod

No mention of the lousy battery of the DualSense Edge?

The scuff is a piece of shit,so is the razor ,and I don’t know who’s controller ever just slipped out of their hands lol

I have both of these controllers in addition to owning other pro controllers. I have to have 4 paddles or buttons which is something I wish the dualsense edge had. For fps games I use my razer wolverine v2 or my scuf. I use rubberbands on controllers that don't have trigger stops to get that instant trigger feeling.

Scuf is just trash all around. NOT WORTH IT in any way.

Why would you in the world want to buy a pro controller if not for competition, there is no point in buying an edge controller

scuf controllers are terrible. Very pricey and they dont last. I have bought several from scuf and they only last a couple a few months. I highly recommend the duel sense edge because of the way the way you can swap the analogs.

Who gives a shit about the l2 r2 buttons having less pull . If ur at the point where your playing like that then you should just switch shoot and aim to l1 and r1 . . . Scuff is trash, Sony slayed it by far

Just bought dualsense edge maybe three weeks ago. Thought about getting the scuf but being able to swap analog sticks and avoid stick drift for only 20 dollars. Unfortunate for the edge only has two pedals so if that’s a dealbreaker might want a different pro controller

I have the Dualsense Edge and love it. However I don't feel that the selling point of replaceable analog stick modules is as great a selling point as some might think.

Because the thing is, whenever I've had a controller for long enough that stick drift starts to become a problem... I also typically have problems with the analog triggers at that point. On the Edge the analog triggers are not replaceable, so when my sticks need replacing, my triggers will likely soon need replacing also, but that cannot be done with the Edge.

Unless of course you're okay with desoldering the old and soldering in new analog triggers.

Bad player dont better proffesional controller.. just playing standard and learn to aim !
