Is Assassin's Creed Origins WORTH IT in 2023? (Review)

I can't get into it, I've been trying a few times but the rpg is not my thing

Guys, I beat the platinum in Odyssey on PS4. And completed all DLC. Should I play Origins on PS5?

Coming from a real climbing of years and years the only real good assassins creed was Brotherhood, I’ve tried black flag, 3, Origins and what they all have in common is their climbing mechanics in the games have gone backwards in progression, Ubisoft has proven to me they only care about money at this point, the only effort they put is into the story, the whole point of the game is CLIMBING and those mechanics have gotten no better or even worse. There’s so many little unrealistic climbing moves they use in Origins it’s sad. Seems like they won’t be using real knowledge anymore and just fantasy. DO NOT buy origins if you like realism in climbing, if you’re braindead and you only care about the storyline, then go ahead.

Yes it’s worth it in ‘23, it’ll also be worth it in 2024 and 2025

Can anyone confirm if he started the AC series with this recent open world trilogy?. I never played the older games and I want to start with this one but not sure if I am going to miss out on the evolution of this series. There are just so many and I don't have the time

make a sequel to Assassin's creed origins or remastered, but ancient Egypt can be made open world with a map and nice, let there be a lot of crafting and improving armor and combat techniques and also a lot of shopping, just put a real life simulator in there and it will be the most playable game of the century!!!!

Video is bs, Odyssey has improved upon gameplay mechanics which origins introduced. Moreover, the story was way better than odyssey & Valhalla combined. Bayek's portrayal of the character was captured perfectly, you can feel the rage, emotion, and every feeling that he has. Side quests were way better than odyssey and Valhalla. Valhalla had the worst side quests of any AC games till date. Origins has all the side quests unique, doesn't feel repetitive like Odyssey. The open world was the best among all. The only thing Odyssey improved on is the combat mechanics, which was even better in Valhalla. Rest everything Origins is the best.

They should have (and easily could have) just make you choose if you want to play as Bayek or Aya, and then reverse the roles

As a series veteran i kinda think black flag and origins and unity can be debated as the best in series for very different reasons

I didn’t mind the parkour being less of factor in origins. The amount of content makes the game worth the full price.

I love that most fans of the AC franchise agree that this is an amazing game. Even the ones (like me) wanting the old gameplay style love this game just bc its great. It is a perfect middleground for the RPG AC fans and the Oldschool AC Fans. Well Ubisoft of course said fck that we want The Witcher.

I literally played the game 4 times without getting bored of it and I got all achievements. My favourite assassins creed besides unity. 100% worth it.

Everything in this game felt perfect. At least on my first playthrough. From the protagonist to the stunning story to the breathtaking world and setting this game is amazing. I loved every second of it. Has to be on the top 5 of Assassin's Creed. I really cannot understand how some people (only a few thankfully) don't like this game. An Assassin's creed game with Regular assassins, a hidden blade, really good stealth and parkour system, stunning graphics and soulsborn combat system. What is there not to love? This game keeps the perfect balance beetwen RPG and all time classic Assassin's Creed. Odyssey kind of surpasses the balance and stands as a more RPG game but rremains superbly fun and a really good game and Valhalla is the game that f*cks it up generally...... Absolutely Recommending this game if you still haven't played it.

That’s what stopped odyssey from being a top masterpiece.. the leveling system was horrible

I loved Origins but only cause I think it didnt go too far in the RPG elements. Every large game release now a days is an RPG wanabee, the new Assassins Creed Mirage actually feels like a breath of fresh air. I dont need every game to have some impactful dialogue choice, sometimes i just need a LINEAR cool and established story that has the exact cannonical vision the writer had in mind and a nice setting to explore and parkour around with decent enough combat mechanics. I hope ubisoft manages to do some alternating cycles where they have classic AC games and then every couple of years work on a bigger RPG title.

I like origins but I hate the rpg and the useless stealth. The only rpg mechanic i can bear in an ac game is as far as syndicate did

I love this game so far, but it has left me with the feeling that it would have been so much better as an RPG with character creation, more customization (like priest/sorcerer spells, etc.), and Egyptian mythical creatures to fight in the open world.

I have all the Assassins Creed games up until odyssey and Origins is the best all round. The detail of the world is top notch.

Out of all the newer assassins creed games, I enjoyed origins the most. I think odyssey was very bloated and I thought Valhalla was just too boring. Origins got the content and length right in my opinion.

The world soundtrack and feeling of exploration when you turn of the hud.

I’ve played every Assassins Creed game, and I must say, I really enjoy Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla. So many people hate these games because they’re different than the older AC games…but I love it. The games are so much more in depth. The worlds are way more fun to play in, and there is way more to do..which makes me, as a consumer, feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. People need to learn to adapt and change with the times. These games are absolute gold.

Definitely agree tht Aya shouldnt have been the last fighter. And I agree a female lead character wouldnt sell much either🤣

I don't have access to my outfit, weapons, shield and mount from my deluxe pack after moving to PS5. UBsoft isn't helping.

I like the game but it still bothers me to no end that the first (original, you might say) assassination in a game called Assassins Creed Origins was a cutscene at the very begining you had no build up or context for. I know you get it soon after but I'm not so keen on how the story was told there - and really, how did we not get to PLAY the first assassination XD

I wish Odyssey and Valhalla were less RPG. For a game about living the life of someone, I was more compelled by cutscenes and story moments than dialogue choices. Its what ruined Odyssey for me. Bayeks journey to Eivor or Kassandras is top tier
Your take on the story is also kinda wack. You simplify and exclude the importance of these story beats because of bad interpretation.

Best assassin's creed game. Second would be Valhalla. Odyssey is just a joke with low damage and ages to kill NPC. It would be first but cannot stand hours to kill one NPC.

Loved the video but something must be said; AC Origins does not take place in ancient Egypt. That was 4,000 years prior to the plot of origins. It takes place in Ptolemaic Egypt. IMO it makes it even better, as you see the grandeur of mankind 4,000 yrs prior to Bayeks life. It is like seeing the colloseum today for us.

i was skeptical about this game at first, but holy sheet, the combat system is so much better, CAUSE IT FORCES YOU TO USE STEALTH isntead of figthing 10 people at once, i loved it, and also Bayek can pet kittens 10/10

I am replaying this game on my PC and I have to say it is one of the best of the whole series, if not the best.

Can I get trophies for the PS5 Playthrough again like on the Witcher3 when it was released für the ps5?!
