Watch out for the Philippines. The governments' focus on education is paying off. Younger generations are becoming highly educated and skilled which leads to higher paying jobs. This will surely contribute to the economy. Soon, there will be no more Filipinos applying for domestic helpers abroad.

Even if you build a lot of islands in Manila Bay, if there are no visible mountains, there will be no view, so there is no point. However, it is okay if there are many islands like Dubai and there are many rich and famous investors who will build skyscrapers like Dubai.

It’s beautiful to see the remarkable progress in building economic growth and development of infrastructure and businesses in the Philippines but it’s scary to see more and more skyscrapers being built in a country of volcanoes and massive earthquakes historically.

The country is not ready for this reclamation project. This will be one of those concept that will cost the government a long term money pit. Growth is important for a growing population. They should start from improving housing and upgrading infrastructures. Stop corruptions in all level of government. Improvement in Education, Health care and Stop illegal fishing (economic zones) from foreign country like China and Japan. We need a strong Coast Guard and Navy to patrol the seas.
