2020 Nissan Murano // Important UPDATES to Nissan's Style Standout!

Three years ago today, I am now considering to buy one as my second SUV of course also

Bought a 2018 MURANO SL back in Feb and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

I have a 2020 platium awd and love it. CVT transmission is for a retired person who do not care about going fast out of a bend or turn. That's why I like a murano since 2003 the 3.5 engine is proven to be bullet proof. Nissan put this engine in most of it's vehicles for years! For me, it's not about how fast the car can go, no not at all, it's all about going from from point A to point B in comfort, and that's all what the cars was invented for.

Owned an '07, still driving a '13. Cvt died at 90k, Nissan covered 70% of cost because of goodwill based on maintenance history and 5 Nissan products owned consecutively. THAT is customer service! Waiting for a redesign and I'll buy another. Most comfortable car I've driven, 10 hour driving days are a pleasure.

The camera resolution needs much improvement. And what’s up with the foot brake and non folding rear view mirrors on all models? The CVT transmission is a dealbreaker for me.

have any of you looked for CVT failure or problems in the Murano forums??.. still happening and Nissan and all using this CVT are still upping their warrantys against failure.

Is there still a problem with the CVT which can fail prematurely ?

My trans left me at 142000 miles.2012 model. Pretty much gave it go dealership on trade. Hopefully new CVT are built better.

Ah yes a original nameplate with history ...........not some Hyundai snow cone or Kia smelltos lol 😂 leave car making to japan and USA. .....S Korea makes some good TVs and washing machines though🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Great review. I am purchasing this vehicle tomorrow and trading in my Traverse (so thankful for this). Leg room for front and rear seats are comparable but because I had a 3rd row, cargo is always more on Traverse. But honestly, 3rd rows are a sham unless you get a Suburban or Navigator. Everything under that fits no one comfortabely :-(

My friends mom has the 19 S. And it is pretty cool, the amount of features you get on an entry model is great! So many things, and the materials are great!

I have the 06 AWD with 130k. Just baby the CVT don't drive it like a sports car and it should last. Also change your fluids out it a small price to pay than paying thousands to repair the CVT. If you plan on keeping it for years take care of it. Nissan has never been great on quality as for the CVT issues in the pass, but I still like Nissan.

Old and over priced..

Verry nice but also verry expensive lol..i drive a 2006 murano and not a single problem with it as yet despite what people say..like anything els if u dont look after it it wont last..ive just changed the looks on mine a lill and i love my murano and wuddnt swop it for any other suv..so for those who wanna buy a good suv..go for it..they are verry reliable deffo..though mine was built in japan i dunno bout these as they not just nissan anymore..mine still has lotsa Datsun in it and put together the way Datsun used to do it..naa ill stick to my one thanx 😂✌

I don't why the more agressive shifting is the preferrence of westerners. I love the smooth shifting tbh.

I have a 2018 Murano Platinum and I have to say I'm a little jealous of the 2020. Love the tweaks to the front and rear they did, cleaning it up nicely. It's still sporty, but more elegant with the removal of some of the chrome, and the all LED front is sweet. The changes to the rear tail lights are very nice, now that they removed the ugly chrome inlays they had. The exterior looks a little more aggressive yet still sophisticated now.



The addition of the USB-C in the center console is a new feature that wasn't in the 2018.



Though I know the comparison is normal given price and size classes, I still always find it funny that it's compared RX because the RX is geared to the type of ride old people like and it shows with the overly plush, spongy ride, to the point it handles poorly and wallows like a pig in turns, whereas the Murano is geared to a sportier handling, but still comfortable and refined.


The Murano's body lean in aggressive driving is pretty nominal for a 5,400 lb vehicle, considering it's geared to being a luxury vehicle. I was impressed with my 2018 because I found that Nissan shaved the turning radius considerably from the 2010 I came from, so they park much easier, especially in head-in parking. The 2018-20's also make u-turns much tighter than the previous two body styles.
