The dummy coil worked very well, not sure why you didn't like it. All other pickups are going to sound much more different than the pickup you like with a dummy coil.

I have an SDS-1 pickup with a third lead that goes to a shield around the coil. Does yours have that? I can't remember if was all that effective.

Have you tried moving the pro track closer to the strings, especially higher strings side?

I dig the Pro Track, but I think the SDS-1 is great in the neck. I would pair an SDS-1 with a hot bridge pup because it's a very powerful single coil. Jake E. Lee has used them in the middle and neck of all his Charvels since the early 80s even though he uses JBs in the bridge.

Preferred the first I think.

In this test I think the Pro Track does what's appropriate for that Sabbath riff. If you play punk rock or ZZ Top maybe the other ones are a better choice...

The chopper is definitely brighter and more stratty, even listening on my phone speakers it's apparent. The SDS has a real hairy Iommi sound to it and would IMHO be the best choice for doom metal and stoner metal. If you can't embrace the hum then you're probably on a setup where you can doctor the sound a bit, so the chopper would serve well. Good analysis, good quality on the recording, good job mate 👍
