Hound Retrospective - The Expert Autobot Scout with Holograms!

Hound is one of my favorite Autobots. Tracking ability, creating holograms, and 2 rounds with Rumble. Hound in the Age of Extinction looks almost like Bulkhead.

I like John Goodman's voice hound. But I prefer to call Bulkhead instead of Hound throughout the film Age of Extinction and The Last Knight.

Though I find Bayverse Hound hilarious, he definitely did major damage to Hound as a character. He's literally the antithesis to what Hound SHOULD BE.

I'd love G1 Hound to appear in a show like Earthspark as his personality would fit so well with feel of the show.

Fun Fact: the Bayverse Hound was originally planned to have Bulkhead in Age of Extinction and The Last Knight, however, he was eventually cut from the film and his design inspired the Bayverse Hound

Something to note about Hound is that he sees things in black and white and claimed that the Decepticons don't care about even their own. Of course, given that he's been through a planet wrecking war against them, I don't fault him for feeling this way as I would as well.

One of my all time favorites. I had a Jeep because of him. He looked his best in MTMTE part 3 when he was fighting Rumble underwater and he dropped a shield over his face to go under the water

Hound is pretty cool at battling and uses his holagrams to share with Mirage the Autobot spy.

G1 Hound is my fave Autobot. Who loves nature and genius of holograms to trick Destrons/Decepticons. Friends with Spike was my nostalgic days as a kid. I had toy cherished, while my twin older sister had fave Optimus Prime though.

You know, this is just my opinion, but the Bayverse version of Hound feels more like a gun-crazed version of Kup.

I think hound should get his own movie where he just explores earth and tells the autobots the best place to set up a base

Hound was my favorite not named Optimus prime as a kid growing up with the cartoon. He deserves all the love fans have for him and I wish his earth loving self would get more recognition in the movie universe

Poor Hound. From being one of the most prominent buddies of Spike Witwicky, to being a valuable asset to the Autobot team in tricking the Decepticons, to being overshadowed by his 1984 Autobot peers. This criminally underrated Autobot truly deserves much more attention.

I always felt that AOE Hound should've been Bayverse Kup.

I find the Bayformer Hound to be offensive when compared to the G1 character. Reason #73 as to why I hate Bayformers.

Thank you for finally creating this video. I’ve been waiting a long time for your retrospective on Hound, my favorite Transformer back when I was 8 years old in 1984 and still is now. Even to this day, my favorite toy in my collection is my deluxe class hound from the Asia exclusive Specialist: Autobots 3-pack featuring the metallic green paint. Although the Alt mode is not the original jeep design, I still love the look of it and the metallic green paint is awesome. The engineering and sculpt is really excellent as well. Thanks for mentioning that it is a modified Jeep Hurricane. I never knew that. I love all your videos but this one is special for me. Happy New Year!

I hope we get more Hound, and it be more like G1 we have plenty of characters that are fighters first.. I would like to see them keep him like he was in G1

Sunbow Hound: survives the 1986 movie and probably formed a little support group for the remainder of the 1984 Autobots who survived the movie

When the Decepticons got most of the Autobots trapped in vehicle mode and were going to destroy them Hound managed to send a hologram to the Autobot base pointing their location.

The original Arrival From Cybertron 3 parter that introduced the Transformers has always been a personal favourite, and Hound was one of the more prominent bots in it. As such i've always liked Hound. I couldn't agree more that he's an underrated character they could do more with. That is as long as they use the original as the template rather than the bayverse version.

Hound, like many other first generation characters, doesn't get enough attention because the producers are too stuck on Bumble Bee. movie version Hound was too much like IronHide

Excellent review! & I did not like that thing they called hound in the live action movie! I hated it! They should have called him bulkhead or some other name.

I always felt like a team of Hound, Jazz, Trailbreaker, and Skids would be great fun just roaming around and seeing what sort of shenanigans they get into.

I started to think of Bulkhead and Hound as brothers from the same Cybertronian tribe with how much alike they are

I really don't think you could confuse hound and bulkhead even in the movie verse because none of the Transformers were like their normal selves in the movie versus. All of the Autobots have a blatant disregard for life which is completely out of character for any of them whether it's a Decepticon or whether it's an alien they all value life they all try to protect life and an Autobot that just says well that's just too disturbing looking to live isn't really an Autobot
