Wouldn't taming/breeding/training a Dino from a very low level be a better option than trying to shoot for a high level with good stats?
Breeding takes eons and imprinting seems rather tedious.
I'm playing on the Xbox, not sure if that matters.
Also I'm probably 50-60 hours in and have yet to get past the middle of the island into the the snow area haha. I went pretty far on my lil (for the life of me I can't remember the name, it's the bird that jacks your stuff) and got attacked by some crazy flying insect thing that shot fire balls at me in the pitch black darkness. That was enough to deter me from wandering further until I'm a bit more fierce.

To get the artifact of the inmune you dont need to craft a gas mask. You can also use 3/4 piece of the scuba set. Just make sure you get the helmet and chest and any other.

Figured out why I had such a hard time getting into this game. It's the island map. I kept thinking it was me doing something wrong losing my dinosaurs, but they literally get caught on a rock or between some trees, and then just sit there. Never once had that issue on Ragnarok, been playing on the island for the past three hours, I've lost EVERY SINGLE creature. Like if I put a tracker on them, I can find them again, stuck amongst clutter .. but those things don't work all the time as I lost all the nodes at once for some reason. Honestly can't wait for them to come out with more of the community maps that are free. I'm on the Switch, and love it despite that terrible tracking that I've just come across after over a week in Ragnarok and less than two hours in The Island.

sounds much better than my pre game pep talk to my friends that have never played ark "spawn, get some basic resources, get bolas, tranq a high level raptor, get prime, get an argie, with that tame a good anky and deod, make a quick base, get some guns, tame a top level direwolf, cave, breed rexes, get a yuti, and then gg ... oh dont forget to get a stego at the start, death lame it if you have to,... for narc production you know... " i think imma start sending them this instead lol, i think they may be less confused

I started ark like actual cave man I not even knowing put wood and meet in the camp fire also not knowing used a club to knock out a mount and gave it berries I watched a 10min video on how to tame a raptor just to knock out a raptor with fist naked and know I'm level 100 on day 16 no multiplier and right now I'm waiting for my level 62 sabertooth to tame

Pls don’t use an Ovis for their fur. They are the only creatures on the island to give raw mutton which is (for most creatures) the best food for taming after kibble.

Parasaur also has one neat trick: right click sends something like echolocation so you detect hostile dinos if you use right click.

What weapon do I need for myself for the first boss?

Oh my god, I thought it is quite simple survival game with dinosaurs theme. Now I see it is a LOT of work, one huge grindfest to be honest... I admire the video and the effort put in it, I feel like I have beaten the game by watching through all these spoilers and it is absolutely enough for me. Time to uninstall and get a life 🙂

Got to level 80 crafting and doing some random stuff.. I saw a t-rex once.. I ran away as fast as I could! I might aswel quit the game now

great vid and as I solo mostly because I cannot stand to join an ark to find millions of metal pillars throughout so much that I cannot even build a campfire anywhere Solo it is. So I plan to get those artifacts in creative mode lol

Amazingly well put together video. I never beat the Island before in my 1000+ hours of play (too ADD, would lose patience and just start a different map). It's insane how much depth there really is to this game. Just started a new playthrough of the Island and this time I'm gonna ascend thanks to this video!

The best strategy for the tek cave is from a distance lure the high lvl creatures into the lava via guns

bro on pvp i can get like to fab level ez in a day but in singleplayer im sitting here unable to find a good argie not surrounded by 80 dinos. Maybe its just cause the island is hard
