I watch alot of your videos and this is the first one where i would cry constantly throughout im so proud of jennifer and so glad she got to have her dream of having a family come true

my question is when was she unclothed because she didnt say anything about when like in the car? because when i was a little girl i slept with a shirt and shorts....

Can somebody give her the title of "walking miracles"? At this point this perfectly describes her. If only that wasn't amazing enough, her strength is. The fact that she overcame her fear of men despite being assaulted by one, and wasn't afraid to face the man that made life once miserable for her in court for justice to her and those who couldn't have it... these were perfect examples. Jennifer is the epitome of strength and hope.


And though dennis died... after he killed himself in such a disgusting manner to escape his deserved consequences, she didn’t stop. She personally visited his grave and read the things she was gonna say, out loud, next to his grave with the hope that somehow he could hear her, and know that she's out there, happy.

Even after 2 decades of failed investigations and unanswered questions to end up not even managing a single direct word to dennis, Jennifer didn’t decide to lose hope, she didn’t give up. And for that, she is truly victorious.

What a weird thing to say that if you could see her now you would be incredibly proud…what does that even mean?

Apart from all the trauma Jen had to go through I also feel bad for her mom too. Even if it wasn’t her fault I bet at some point she felt like she had a part to blame for sending her to her room so that she could sleep for work the next morning. It’s so sad that people will make selfish choices and how badly it will effect the victim and all their loved ones.

I just can't even listen to more than 4 minutes of this it's like when I spent the night at my friend's house for a sleepover in 4th grade and telling scary stories I just can't anymore with this sorry but it's ruining it for me

i heard abt this case i live in dickinson her appartment area is right across my high school yeah kinda creepy but we dont think abt it since it was long ago

I loved corn fields. You could see a little bit the lines along, you could change your hiding spot of your heart someone, sometimes it was that intense that I felt real fear in these fields. And adventurous fear.

This crime happened in my hometown of Dickinson, TX. I was literally born and raised there, went to the big white Catholic Church in the heart of town, ate BlueBell ice cream at Roger's, and visited many friends in the surrounding neighborhoods from the schools I went to (GO GATORS!). Crime is not unknown here, and we do have registered $3× offenders in the area, but to have a crime as drastic as rape, kidnapping, and attempted murder combined are very highly uncommon here as far as I'm concerned. This happened before I was born and I didn't know about the story of Jennifer until I moved into an apartment my junior year of highschool. Whenever I told my best friend at the time about my move and where I was living at, she told me about this story of a little girl who got kidnapped from her bedroom, but she was in a downstairs apartment of the same complex I lived in. I hadn't felt the same since.

Yes I have to say. That ending made me cry too. & yes we are survivors not victims. I always say that. I’m no one’s victim. I feel exactly the same.

Another amazing story. Your fine details and excellent narration really bring the characters to life. I love when your husband says, “Wow!” He’s a stand in for all of us. I would be interested to get the mother’s perspective in this story once Jennifer reached adulthood. It was just the two of them so it must have been hard for her too.

I know medical professionals always say the worst. My little sister had cancer. They said ‘she has 9 months to live, her cancer is incurable. There’s nothing we can do. We can give her medication to ease her pain but that’s all’. We all cried. My parents wouldn’t sleep, wouldn’t eat, they just tried to spend all their time with her. Doctors called about 2 months later saying her tumour has shrunk and that they could get it out with surgery. Its still there but they said medication & radiation could help it. Her tumour now it’s 1/3 of the size it used to be. She used to be on 15 pills a day now it’s only 3. It’s been 1 year & 7 months.

My heart goes out to her, I was also sa’d but not like physical like the slit throat which is amazing how she survived that. But yea I understand her terror of the world , the constant nightmares, the flashbacks, it’s hard to live with that trauma. Remembering all the specific details especially hurts the most cause it brings you exactly how you were before the smell, the feeling, the taste, hearing the sounds , everything and I remember as well all the details from my assault so listening that she won her case and actually got justice brings me hope. She is a very strong woman 🙌🏻

That is so tragic but I am so proud of her for not only surviving but THRIVING. That said, she should have never gone through that and Dennis will go through the consequences in the worst place of all…

The fact that a story like this has a happy ending is insane, the fact she lived for 14 hours is insane. And she fully recovered from everything is insane. The ending with the fire ant feels straight out of a movie
