How it FEELS to Play BETTY in Paladins

Recently I asked my wife (who knows little to nothing about the game) to choose a champion for me to main. She first picked Lilyth, Kasumi, Corvus, Caspian and Betty then after careful consideration she picked Betty just because she's dark skinned and THICC. She knows me to well... Oh yeah, first pick was Nyx :) but i said no as I already main tanks in ranked.

The thing is:
Betty is Braindead.
It's because her skill floor is very low.
I mean...
Instead of actually calculating enemy steps you can just...
Spam chokes.
ALTHOUGH her skill CEILING is pretty high.
As all of her skill are pretty simple on their own.
This makes it harder to master and use more effectively than you already can when...
You know... You have your frontal lobe removed for 15 minutes straight.
But imma just continue hookin' up that thicc girl with an anchor. What does a Makoa main know about DPS, right?

Honestly i like the betty kitt even if it is anoying to play against it seems actually fun to play her but i have 1 ->personnal<- issue with betty and it is only my humble opinion:
She's too ugly. I litteraly can't play here cuz of how hugly she is, even her skins are. I just don't like playing here due to how ugly she looks.

I don't think Betty is the "most" braindead champion in the game, that spot probably still goes to Vivian's "glue down both mouse button's together and do something else with your hands", but she definitely is one of the most annoying to go against.
My biggest complains would be her absolutely unfair mobility ability, and the fact that she didn't get half of the hate Dredge got despite being a much worse champion (to deal with) than him.

I love betty; her kit is designed to output mad dmg. Thanks for the jumping loadout; seems fun.

The only thing I hate the most against betty is just, how knockback removes any momentum drogoz has and the extremely common invisible hail of bombs dealing 400 dmg a hit with burn dmg after the hail of bombs thing is already gone

im sorry, the highest rank ive ever gotten was plat 5 (i hate ranked) i played betty once and got 20/2/13 with 150k dmg in a in a 2-4 siege match, aslong as the enemys dont have a high mobility flank (evie/androxus/vora) she IS braindead as she can stay in the backline and just spamm the objective, if however enemies do have good flanks, you simply need to watch out for them alone, If I had to make a comparison, Id say betty is like Morgana from league, can play as a coward and it still works (not the only way to play her).

When we say "brain dead betty" we re talking about here skill and value floor being lower than low (same goes for dredge).
The issues you talked about with her kit, in addition to her fat projectiles make her easy to pick up and have brain dead damage with.
And the argument for the arcking projectile being hard to hit is weak: bomb king has the same issue, plus he has to have extremely persise timing to hit his shots even close to mid range fights cant be won unless you time it perfectly.
A turret that does free damage over time and that is undestroyable is just toxic AND brain dead.(making it destroyable will give even more insensitive to buy bulldozer)
I cannot disagree that your playstyle looks fun and somewhat skill demanding, and that's supposed to be the case when you ACTUALLY spend time learning a character.
We re just asking for them to raise her skill floor to force people to use their brains instead of pushing buttons and getting damage and kills.

So here are some ideas to make her more fair:

1) make the turret destroyable, and make them despawn when she dies
2) remove the damage from here movement ability, it's a MOVEMENT ability, and either drastically reduce or remove the knockback from it.
3) get rid of the stupid reveal (you can keep the damage if you want)
4) reduce the size of her projectiles so that they are actually skill demanding

Gotta Bounce is her most fun talent. But being able to hit your shots definitely becomes essential.

As someone who mains tanks I hate Betty. The only way I can consistently kill her is by playing Azaan, you know, the equally disgusting and broken champion.
