Lol its so funny to see there has been zero change in performance and functionality on their website since letting all those ppl go.
Its unbelivable that these companies hire so many useless ppl that really do nothing or add anything of value.
If you ignore customer service and streamer support witch they already mostly do, my guess would be that twitch could be run by a skeleton crew of maby around 100 good employes instead they hire 1500 ppl who sit around doing nothing but scratch their ass all day and then wonder why they cant make a profit.

You are missing the key point: Amazon is able to count the usage and consumption of Twitch through their AWS cloud numbers. Similar like MSFT invests in Xbox: cloud revenue. Cloud = data = race to AI = race to quantum computing. Everything is in function to win the race to quantum computing (= owning the world basically)

people getting banned from artosis's stream for mario erotica tts dono's but its ok for 13 year olds to watch porn on twitch... makes a lot of sense. they just banned 3 of RT's whales and he will likely have to do something else for work. twitch is a shithole

It’s a tax write off.
Twitch is not a loss for Amazon’s. It’s a 0 sum game while keeping the market leader in their portfolio.

Twitch prime is also a cash mover around tax from Amazon to twitch.

Twitch like a bunch of America companies are what we call a zombie company. You can think Obama for this. This is why you don’t just print money.

Just isn't sustainable, twitch has become a porn website where pornstars are influencing people on the site to go to porn sites or buy their only fans, eventually state governments are going to step in, honestly the fact people are ignoring this issue just shows the ignorance of twitch's main problems. Twitch is walking a very dangerous line with their rules and inconsistent moderation of its site. Kids watch twitch, I'm sorry, this shit is just going to get worse and I would not be shocked Amazon steps in and starts calling shots. How long will it stay marketable to advertisers? When will parents start acting up and start limiting their children's access to twitch altogether?

put in simple terms... Think about Twitch as the new halo and Amazon as the new xbox. Lets say 100k buy an xbox just to play the new halo, and 35k refund the game. Microsoft still sold 100k consoles. Same principle.
Twitch is not making money, but people sub to Prime because of it.

This would be ideal I believe. We want current social media to fold at some point and start anew with less of what is bad with the current and more of what is good.

Twitch doesnt make money because alot of its users hate ads. Further more the streamers they watch, have 2ndary platforms for donations, and users would rather support the streamer not the platform.

Kick can run lean like that simply because they don't have to spend a fortune maintaining the server capacity required to serve the user base that Twitch has. As soon as Kick sees any numbers close to what Twitch was getting you bet their asses would fold real quick. :P
