The 'sassy look' at the end was supposed to be the WoL wincing with pain because they're not actually ready to get up yet. It's just hard to replicate that on a potato face.

So yeah this is a year old so no one will see it but I want to mention a couple things. 1 Meteon didnt destroy the universe, most of it destroyed itself. 2 the endsinger is not meteion per se. It is the amalgamation of all those failed worlds trying to curse you and yours for not despairing and failing like theirs did. It is their jealousy and hate that is using the bodies of all of meteion's sisters. Perhaps had Hermes taught her to walk, she would have been able to deal with those feelings and not be consumed by them.

The Thing i like about Phase 2 of Endsinger, is that it becomes the Boss theme for the WOL not endsinger, WE become the final boss to put down dispair.

We called this expansion Endwalker... how about we force the players to literally walk toward the endfight and call the debuff that forces this "Endwalker"? Wouldn't that be hilarious? - A moment I am sure to have happened in the FF14's Dev Team at some point. ^^

I love coming back to your reaction, especially because I share a moment - the one with Zenos. As he was talking, my brain went "damn, this stalking BFF of mine knows me too well" and then the answer options popped up.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I also went to do UwU, and weirdly enough for my taste, I went the PF route, where after about 3 days I found 7 usual faces and we created a LS. Two weeks in which I had holidays, 12-16 hours per day, and it finally "filled my void" 😄

To take a Villain as hateable as Emet-Selch, redeem him, make me empathize with his cause, and make me weep for him, is nothing short of masterclass writing, my god man.

You know one thing I gotta asy, during the second phase, Endinsingers lines about pain and loss, and the fact that background is now lit up, while end walker flails and exudes an aura of shadow.

It's such a lovely touch. Almost like the will and hope of you and your allies overwhelming the despair of the ultima thule. Like how tanchred at the start saves us by willing: Survive.

The fist is not about punching someone but about restraint and gathering strength and conviction.

Interesting detail that I overlooked on the first playthrough. When you go back to the first to see Elidibus, he has a comment, "I saw you there, in Elpis." But we never encountered him in Elpis, until the raid series.

I'm curious as to how the line he has at the end, "As he/she foretold." Not sure we've hit that point yet, as if we'll set him up to wait for us before the Panda raids began.

Sure, Endsinger. You're real into the despair thing. BUT ARE YOU SO HORNY FOR BATTLE YOU TURNED INTO A DRAGON AND CROSSSED THE UNIVERSE TO FIGHT A SINGLE DUDE?

NGL, when you swapped to RDM for the fight with Zenos, I happy-screamed a bit. I'd changed mains from NIN to RDM shortly before our initial encounter with him back in StB, and I remember the smoldering shame of having been defeated so easily. And every time I encountered him again, it was with rapier in hand, so seeing someone else also take that route just made me want to YELL. That sort of circular, call-back storytelling is so damn good!!

But more than that, same, oh SAME, he read me for absolute filth, and aye, that I cannot deny. Always did I choose the harder path, always did I seek out the more challenging battles, and with each victory came the emptiness of "what next." And this fight, THIS FIGHT! My blood sang, my pulse danced, and my soul BURNED as he gave me the challenge that I had desired and he had earned. It was glorious! It was MAGNIFICENT! I laughed with mad delight, even when he stood up again and again, as he did for me, and...

...when it was over, yes, I had found fulfilment. I had saved the world, ALL worlds, ensuring that life would continue, and on dead worlds life would flourish again. I had found an opponent worthy of my skill. And when I stood triumphant at the end I shook with the thrill of victory. But that was not to last, for I knew that he would offer me no further challenge, not merely because I had exceeded him, but that he had found his own fulfilment, and with it, no further reason to live. As I had done for the Scions, so did he grant me escape from the far end of the universe, and with it, the gift of future challenges and worlds to explore. That void will yawn empty once more, again and again, but for a moment, for just a brief moment, we burned as stars, and in it we LIVED. And in the end, at the end of all things, isn't that what matters?

In a weird twisted way, you weren't just Zenos's only friend...you were the only person, the only thing he ever loved.

riding your nemesis in dragon form through hyperspace to defeat the bird that's singing the song that ends the universe. And then killing him in an MGS4 Snake v. Ocelot style sequence. Such a great end to the 2.0-6.0 arc.

I can never get over a realization I had about these cutscenes. Zenos had no clue where the WoL was. He knew they were in Ultima Thul but wouldn't have known what was happening there. So he presumably shows up at Ultima Thul, sees a massive orb or something, assumes the WoL is in there and proceeds to dragon headbutt it over and over til it breaks. He's a refreshingly simple man at times.

Having re-watched the scene, and seen all the dialogue options, I DONT GET THE OBSESSION WITH #1 IT BARELY MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE.
