I know a lot of people say the song is super dark but having read some of the interviews of the guys from MGMT and their beliefs and also watching the video i feel like the darker aspects of the song are meant to be overly dark, as to point out the for lack of a better term absurdity of some of the dark nihilistic conclusions we can come to.

Mgmt is the most talented band of this era, thumb up guys ! You are the one I want to go see in live concert.

One of the favorite tunes of my life. But this really screwed this tune live. The few times they played it live, at least. The problem it's in the ausence of the these great effects (hear it in good headphones). They must had done like Gustavo Cerati, a great musician who turn his best singles into even better versions, but for that, he keep a extra man on the stage only for the creation of the effects and keyboards. Can't deny these things.
