Look at your game girl is straight fire
ОтветитьI remember in my teens I was playing my songs on a battered acoustic guitar.and one of my friends as a put down described my playing and singing as sounding like manson ..I wasn't offended infact I took it as a compliment instead of an insult..
ОтветитьThey've gotta make a bio movie about this man's life I teared up when I discovered his true backstory
ОтветитьThe Beach Boys suck.
Wilson is a dweeb.
How’s that sound huh...?
One things for sure Charlie hit the big time👀
ОтветитьLIE: The Love and Terror Cult might have been his most popular album. But Unplugged 9.11.67 and The Family Jams also contain some suprisingly high quality music
ОтветитьHe could write for sure but wouldn't collaborate and fell apart with nerves when they put a mic in front the of him. Some damage can't be fixed.
Ответить"his other insane activities" ayyy lmaoooo
ОтветитьActually he became a fan of music in church. He was likely a bit of a prodigy. His influences in kyde Frankie Lane, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby While in prison he learned to play guitar thanks to Alvin Creepy Karous. As you astureky noted He's later teacher to Dennis Wilson how to play. Ironically he was huge influence on the drummer whose band habitually dismissed him as a no talent loser. Dennis was truly the soul of the beach boys as the only one who surfed drag raced and had the looks and charm the band celebrates. Indeed Dennis created a stellar solo album that reflects his own great talent and Charlie's influence. While his brothers wouldn't even listen to Pacific Ocean Blue it's on a lot of critics list of best albums. Despite his trashed voice and escalation in addictions and other issue or maybe because of them the double album demonstrates eclectic styles like Manson commanded and has that raw edgy quality on some tracks that made Charlie's unsung material so fresh and endearing. Charlie recorded several places including at least twice in Brians studio. Unfortunately he was not willing to compromise his work by using the equipment and professionals provided there. He was stubborn and it's been noted his performance was somehow much more interesting live It didn't translate so well in recordings though I find a few of his original songs truly engaging and listen to them with my other favs which includes L Cohen Doors CCR Any W, Etta, Coltrain Miles Cash VU Pretenders Iggy Callaway Cake etc in case you think my tastes are suspect.
ОтветитьHis singing style was the crooning type (like Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet) and that's what he was truly inspired by much more so than the Beatles, but on the other hand, maybe the 60s in general was a great time for anyone to get into music. There are stars from the 50s who approached the 60s sound exceptionally.
ОтветитьHe sucked 😂
ОтветитьI got "Lie" LP way back and some were pretty good..Garbage Dump stands out a couple corny and a couple strangeand weird but I got the 2nd later on down the road and hey if someone hada worked with him he could have produced some good stuff esp. during those days when garage bands were hitting the charts..the good ol days in my life...but no fan of his dark/evil side but that chrisma he had was real..he exuded it as some would attest if they spent any time around him..fun and games turned to hate and violence...ruined all the good days the Hippie's had going on..too much love and freedom?? looking back i wonder How the hell did we get to 2023?? what happened?? disco was the end i thought but now...at least Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros. are touring!!! a little ray of sunshine in a dark world
ОтветитьPrior to the murders all the people who now say he’s untalented were then saying he’s going to be the next big thing , He was booked for several festivals in 69 and it’s my belief that had he been a bit more disciplined he could’ve gone on to do well , And if Tex Watson hadn’t been in the picture things would be quite different - sure he’d probably return to prison and was a criminal but he wasn’t a hippie cult leader .
ОтветитьHe was a folk singer shit it's good
ОтветитьHe was actually very talented, musically speaking. RIP Charlie, next time.
ОтветитьSteve Grogan sang look at your game girl that you hear not Charlie
ОтветитьTex Watson was the “ murderer” not Manson , Tex went to rob jay Sebring and voytek frkowski of drugs and being a piece of shit killed everyone including Sharon Tate . Tex had been robbing dealers and getting in trouble long before meeting Manson - Manson may of been a criminal but he wasn’t a hippie cult leader . The girls were told they’d have a lesser sentence if they went along with the whole “ helter skelter” theory . Manson also knew melcher had moved from cielo drive .
ОтветитьPeople know of charly manson ..people know nothing about tex Watson...one was a murderer ...one played and wrote some pretty good songs.... one looked like a wizard ...one was a high school football hero... so it is clear as day to me...... if ya can't get to the bottom of a crime..blame the wierd looking dude with the freaky songs...it fits better
ОтветитьR.I.P Charlie ❤️
ОтветитьI love his music
ОтветитьFun Fact. Little Feet keyboard player left Tates house 10 minutes before the gang arrived. Manson was not the paragon of LA music scene.
ОтветитьManson was not interested in the music of the Beatles, he was interested in using the Beatles as part of his mythology in order to influence the younger people of his cult. We know exactly who influenced Charles Manson musically; it was lounge singers, people like Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra and things like that. Bossa nova too. His lyrics were influenced by the bible, folk stories and classical themes and the popular psychology and philosophy of the 60s (“society” and “mother” are words that pop up over and over in his lyrics) But as far as music, traditional pop and lounge stuff was the music of Manson‘s youth he was half a generation older than the Beatles and the members of his cult. You only need to listen to his songs to hear the influence of these old crooners. I think he even said that he had no interest in the current popular music of the time.
ОтветитьRest in peace, king
ОтветитьWTF? He was a musician? 🎸🤘
Just imagine him + GG Allin collab.
Rip☮️✝️🤘🏼😈
ОтветитьHey maaan. Do you ask the sheep why they hide behind their wool? Do you think death comes only to the righteous? (every Charles Manson interview)
ОтветитьManson was an EXCELLENT singer & a great song writer! Theres no argument to his talent. Sadly he was so deeply traumatized as a child that he cultivated a severe paranoia and distrust for others(which is understandable). He was open to the Aethyrs and to Fear. This combination creates an incredibly talented yet dysfunctional human being.
Jeff Guin is an f-ing idiot and hack writer. Guin had no clue what or whom he’s writing about.
I like his music. It's a shame he didn't get that deal. Might have changed a lot of peoples lives.
ОтветитьIt's strange, one of my first memories was of seeing bits of the trial on tv.
ОтветитьDamn, Dennis Wilson is a badass.
ОтветитьWas he actually evil or was their something wrong with his brain that could’ve been fixed
ОтветитьThe pulling a knife on the studio engineer is explained by the engineer him self on another online video. Manso took the knife, a 6 inch switch blade out and was cleaning his finger nails with it. The engineer simply asked him to put it away. So its blown out of proportion here.
ОтветитьThe song at the beggining is awesome
ОтветитьHe was a great musician!
ОтветитьSay what you want about Manson, he was a highly intelligent and charismatic individual.
ОтветитьDennis Wilson said he once saw Manson shoot a man in half and dump him in a well
ОтветитьTerry Melcher is the son of Doris Day.
ОтветитьSince you have done Charles Manson, Morbid Musicians should also do a segment on Manson Family member, Bobby Beausolieil.
ОтветитьMansons life was truly horrible. Even the things you mentioned in the video are terrible on their own, but the things that you left out are even worse. Noone can really be surprised about his criminal record when his childhood was literally purgatory. And yet he couldve been one of the greats. Maybe if he got the psychiatric help he desperately needed instead of being put in prison over and over again with a thought that putting him through more torment would reform him. I would say it was in the 60s and now the legal system is much better, but i would be lying. Its still bad. Slightly better, but still bad.
ОтветитьDevilman song he really killed it.
Ответитьalvin karpis wasn't nearly the bad guy the fbi made him out to be, i'm sure. back then j edgar hoover was on a rampage. making normal guys doing crimes look like they were these monsters to build up his own legend. guy was a cross-dressing scumbag, and one of the worst people to ever come to power in our country
Ответитьcharlie had mad bitches, that's for sure. even in prison he had women sending him money all the way up til he died.
Ответитьcharlie made some great tunes. i feel bad that the state of california, and the media did him as dirty as they did. poor charlie spent most of his adult life in solitary confinement. then they put him on camera and act like he's the crazy one. let me lock you in a tiny cage for the rest of your life and see how normal you act.
ОтветитьI feel like Charles Manson would’ve been a figure like Kurt cobain if he would’ve went the music route
ОтветитьWhat’s the song in the beginning
Ответить1 minute of Manson's Music Career, the rest is just the same Manson's life story we all know
ОтветитьThe song "In My Room " sung by the beachboys was written by Charlie. He made it up while in a prison cell. But I believe Dennis Wilson stole it and gave Charlie Nothing. Not even any credit.
ОтветитьHe was by no means a good man, but I always feel like he got a raw deal. I've gotten a lot of hate for this statement, and I am expecting some more after this comment. None the less, great content as usual!
ОтветитьAmazing how many satanic influences there were/are in hollywood and the music industry.
