Christmas is bullshit.
Ответитьbest. movie. ever.
ОтветитьI've tried and tried over the years, but I'm just not a big Bill Murray fan, and I've never cared for this movie. Guess I agree with Murray's hesitation about not being in an ensemble because I loved Ghostbusters where he had balance with other characters, but here, he's just too much.
ОтветитьThis movie should be popular, it's hilarious and has good good cast.
ОтветитьJust watched this movie again after a looong time and will make it my Christmas tradition from now on!
ОтветитьI can't imagine this NOT being seen as legendary from the bat, when IMO it's one of the best Christmas movies ever created. It's so classic!
ОтветитьThis and Christmas Vacation are the two Christmas films I'll watch every year for the rest of my life.
ОтветитьShite film, payoff is forced
ОтветитьBest Christmas movie ever... This movie kicks all the ass
ОтветитьI can’t believe that my favorite movie everyone was so disappointed in
ОтветитьI absolutely love this movie, so many great quotes I still recite to this day, and an absolutely perfect ending scene. This and Christmas Vacation are my go-to Christmas movies
ОтветитьAdversity creates art. Thats why all this corporate stuff is garbage.
ОтветитьAfter watching every 'WTF happened' Bill Murray movie, it is clear... Mr Murray is/was a complete asshole.
ОтветитьIt movie makes people sad and scare
ОтветитьGreat Murray got more money as all the others. Cynical
ОтветитьThanks!
Ответить"a piece of unadulterated unmitigated shit" LOL that part cracked me up.
Ответитьcult classic
ОтветитьLike most people that watched this segment and have made comments, I also saw this in the theatre when it was released. I absolutely loved it then and still watch it every single year (usually more than once) during the holiday season. So many great quotes and one liners from Francis Xavier Cross. I really don't give a sh*t if someone wasn't happy with the script or somehow got their feelings hurt.
ОтветитьLoved it from the first time I saw it
ОтветитьThis right here is an absolute classic and a perfect example of why Donner is one of the best directors ever and Murray is one of the best actors ever.
Ответить😍😍😍😍😍
Ответить😉
ОтветитьThank you so much for this post. This has been my number one favorite Christmas movie for over 20 years now, I really enjoyed the information that you gave here...GREAT JOB!
ОтветитьBill Murray is a legend and Scrooged as one of my favorite movies of all time!
ОтветитьLOVE this movie so much!!!
Ответитьbest Christmas movie
ОтветитьThis has to be one of my most hated movies. Strangely enough, I watched it until the end. I feel like the movie tries to do so many things that it fails at doing any in a good way.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed this movie not sure why others disliked it. However Bill Murray was like on set made it work for the movie.
ОтветитьA Christmas classic that my wife and I watch every year. Another thing this movie predicted - TV programming for pets. While Preston seems intent on entertaining his cats, he also asks if Frank knows how many dogs are in the US (Bill Murrays face during this scene is great!) - and now I see commercials all the time for Dog TV, programming for dogs. Who would have thought?
Ответить“We wouldn’t want to scare the dickens out of people. The Dickens out of people. NOBODY gets me.”
ОтветитьOne of my favorite movies of all time. It’s a classic. Period.
ОтветитьHow versatile is Richard Donner? He did Superman: The Movie, Lethal Weapon, The Omen, and Scrooged. Amazing.
ОтветитьCross: a thing they nail people to.
ОтветитьMY FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE!
ОтветитьI work with people who have never seen this movie and because of that don’t know who put a little love in your heart is played with the Christmas Songs.
ОтветитьPersonally I love the movie.
ОтветитьStill manages to be a competent movie even if it turned out different to what the writers envisioned.
Had no idea Richard Donner directed this, probably another director would have felt more comfortable.
I remember this movie! I was 15 and still in Soviet Uniot and saw it from a SAT TV channel, probably FilmNet, and it was ammazing! Strange, crazy, hardly to understand. It was the Zeitgeist!
ОтветитьIt is more blessed to give than to receive. And thus, the Shotgun Scenes makes Sense.
ОтветитьProbably the ONLY Xmas movie I always enjoy.
The rest? Bah, humbug 😒
This movie is pure gold. It's a shame that writers are too prideful to admit that Murray's ad libs made it much better, as did Carol Kane's erratic behavior. Critics are worthless when it comes to judging comedy or horror.
ОтветитьI've watched every movie version of A Christmas Carol / Scrooge from the Seymour Hicks 1935 to the rather dark 2019 version with Guy Pearce. It is kind of a personal Christmas tradition with me to watch them all, but I can honestly say that I thought Scrooged, with Bill Murray, sucked.
ОтветитьSurprised nothing was said about Allen also having previously been in National Lampoon's Animal House. There's a connection there.
ОтветитьNothing happened to it, I watch it every year it's awesome.
ОтветитьPretty good - maybe the director tried to put too much into the film. Had some knee slaps though.
ОтветитьCarol Kane...not Carol King.
ОтветитьA definite Christmas classic in my family! When Scrooged was 1st released in theaters, I was 4 maybe 5 years old at the most and had a big crush on Bill Murray. My aunt and uncle took me and my 2 brothers to see a movie and at the theater ,they asked us to pick the movie we wanted to see. I immediately saw the theatrical poster for Scrooged which had a skeletal hand lighting a match for Bill Murray holding a cigar (thumbnail of this vid) and I said "let's see this one!" And my brothers agreed. I remember our uncle was cool and about to get us tickets when my aunt looked at the rating and said it did not look appropriate for children, "especially a little girl " (me) I think we spent the next 20 minutes pleading but my aunt wouldn't have it. We were so disappointed. The following evening our mom who had heard what happened told us to get ready and in the car, we had to go grocery shopping but much to our surprise, she took us to see Scrooged at the theater. One of those small but memorable childhood memories. The audience we saw it with was laughing and clapping throughout it and even singing along with the end credits. As soon as it started airing on HBO we recorded it and watched it every season from Thanksgiving to New year's day. It's not a perfect movie but it's great for what it is. Kind of underrated IMHO.
Ответитьi love this movie
ОтветитьBill Murray is an actor who always plays himself, like John Wayne. Still it's a good movie from the '80s.
