just found out about this new law, been to Indonesia 8 times and i love the country, the culture and the people. Sadly I probably never will return now, i'm an agnostic and don't believe in any religion, i don't want to get married to some religion or god i don't believe in. I do prefer sex after marriage and not before because to me, sex is not fun but it can be if the two partners commit to it, however it is also a commitment and responsibility to be ready for a child in order to raise a family but that doesn't mean I want it banned... after all, I think sex is a promise and should be used as a gift, not a curse.

I think this is fantastic.
It is a crime according to Islam.
The point of this is to stop people from publicly say the had sex with someone or at least have some shame if yo you did it. Because it's simply wrong. Having sex before or outside of marriage is simply wrong there literally zero good that come from that.
