Jamie Clayton was THE perfect person to be The Hell Priestess. Wether or not people like this film, I feel like she made the entire fkng movie. I haven't been creeped out this much since 1987 When I was a kid and watching Doug Bradley debut the visual version of the Hell Priest. She's amazing. Even Doug Bradley said so.

Basically, this movie is just about a gift exchange and I love it

This movie had no business being as good as it actually is. A Hulu made remake, but this was a fresh interpretation that added to the original mythos. I also thought the new Pinhead did a great job of being herself and not trying to copy Doug Bradley. Hope to see more of this iteration continue!

You can actually almost feel the pain 🥶

They developed the ability to heal just to the torment can be forever. That concept is beyond horrific. The first iteration of such an idea comes from the punishment of Prometheus. Zeus chained him to a wall and had vultures eat out his intestines every day. And when he was just on the cusp of deaths sweet release, his injuries would magically heal so the torture would commence again the next day, indefinitely. 😢

Because the machine tore a section of his spine away, he shouldn’t be able to walk. In fact the pain he feels in the movie wouldn’t be possible, because the nerves strung up to the machine aren’t connected to his spine anymore.

Be careful what you wish for… you just might get it…

The original Hellraiser will always reign triumphant

Having his device removed and his body regenerated must have felt so painful and so pleasurable at the same time. A true sensation where pain and pleasure mix and become blurred.

I know it's a horror movie and this is the gimmick that is needed for it to work. But the Cenobites always talk about the "ultimate sensation" , the ultimate pain AND pleasure. Is that just a lie? At what point does the pleasure come in? I want to know which configuration ends with you getting a dick sucking machine attached to you for all eternity that never lets you get used to the feeling of constant nutting 😂
