REAPER How to Install VST Plugins & Programs

I don’t have a VST folder in the Reaper folder… Any idea why?

even today this man still helps ppl. REALEST.

I don't have the add button, what can I do?

Even when I manually copy and paste the VST plugin to the Program Files, common files, plug-in, VST folder: Reaper still doesn’t see them. It worked at first, I got TAL Noisemaker in there. But something happened maybe I changed a preference? I don’t think so. Ideas? Thanks

How to add plugins in reaper?
Step 1
Open Reaper. Click "Options" in the top menu bar, then select "Preferences" from the menu that opens.

Step 2
Click the "VST" link under the "Plug-ins" heading. Click the "Add" button in the top right-hand corner of the "Reaper Preferences" window.

Step 3
Navigate to the folder containing the new VST plug-in. Click on it, then click "Open."
Step 4
Click the "Re-Scan" button. Reaper scans the directory for new VST plug-ins and adds them to its list of VSTs. Click "OK" when the scan completes.

Step 5
Click "Insert" in the top menu bar, then click "Insert Virtual Instrument on New Track." Click "VST" in the left-hand column, then click on the new VST. Click "OK" to add it to a new track in Reaper.

Ugh I just spent 2 hours looking for my bass plugin only to find out I had to add the install path to the list of directories 🤣

Doesn´t help sorry, when i got to preferences and plugins and vst, there is no button with ADD...

More thanks! I couldn't figure out why vsts are scattered around in various folders and how Reaper can find them, so this is very helpful.

I need help pls.
I pointed reap to EZMIX 2 vst plug-in and did a re-scan.
Still, reaper daw is not able to recognize/load the ezmix 2 plugin
